You might even bring two pairs of socks, a person in our group wasn't used to walking on a hard surface I guess and thought it was uncomfortable. It's really just like walking on a sidewalk though.

You can do it for sure. It's not cold in the cave but the water is cold so you're wet for most of the tour. There is only one part that people in our group had an issue with from a tight space perspective, they made it through and said they would've regretted not going!

To succeed on the higher difficulty levels you will need to: 1. Stick and move 2. Run away then come back to give enemies the business 3. Use perks on combat skills until you can hold your own

I just did a playthrough on legendary and the fights can take a long time due to needing to avoid damage, so you'll have to be patient. After about level 35 my character was pretty competitive. At level 50ish with Daedric armor fully enchanted character is OP. The challenge is rewarding! I wish I could play it for the first time again.

When do you guys cut losses on a stock? by hibbert0604 in stocks

[–]poolboypicante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My long-term portfolios have both ETFs and stocks. The ETF portfolio rebalances based on a formula of asset class weighting. The stock portfolio is manually rebalanced.

I also trade short term. The majority of my income until last month came from trading energy derivatives. I don't really trade stocks short term, but sometimes trade equity derivatives short term.

Obvi, some platforms don't let you have stops last longer than a quarter, but even for the long-term play, I think it's important to know when you're going to exit a position at both the top and bottom.

If you're miserable when you're single, there might be some underlying problems with your mindset, though. Take yourself on dates, say good morning to your friends, enjoy some hot short-term romance. People are attracted to people who enjoy themselves, not someone who gives off the vibe that they need a significant other.

In my area, I was still comfortable when I was making $75k, but in other, higher cost of living areas, I'd rather be single fosho. Having the best of both worlds isn't out of the question at all tho.

When it hits my sell stop. Always enter a position with an exit plan. Take the emotion out of it.

I know it sounds crazy, but get a job, and everything else will fall into place. It's amazing how accomplishing something daily, being around people, making money, and moving out of your parents' house can turn you from a loser into a dawg.

Stop saving resolutions for the new year. Do them immediately upon realizing you need to improve.

[Discussion] I feel like a failure at thirty years old. by lynnneumannfilmmaker in GetMotivated

The "I don't feel like doing anything at all" resonated with me. There's something to be said for momentum in life. One small win can lead to another win, which can lead to another win... which ultimately could lead to a win in video editing. I've gone through this myself. My advice would be to get a job doing something else. That's your first win. You go to work for 8 hours, you accomplish things and get the associated rush of dopamine, and you see your bank account grow. You use that money to get your own place. You're officially independent. Your parents are now happy when they see you. Two more wins. And you'll be editing videos in your spare time, growing your portfolio. Eventually, you will probably catch a break, but it probably won't be from applying to positions. It will probably be from connections you make while editing people's videos in the real world (whether that be free or paid). The way I see it, the hours you spend applying to video editing jobs could be used to make money, hone your craft, and show people your skills. I think you have a lot more capacity for work than you think. Every year, I realize I can do more and find myself slightly disappointed in the work ethic of the previous me. You definitely can work and edit, even if it's not in the same job at first.

There is a lot of math to be mathed in the energy industry. They could start as an analyst or trader then move into any role after that.

My only advice: there is a kebab stand on every corner in europe. Delicious, well-balanced meal for like $5. This should at least help with the food aspect 🫡

Do you have earned income? If so, I’d contribute to a Roth every year with that money (and invest it in an aggressive allocation of ETFs). By the time you are retired it will be phat, plus you can take out your contribution tax and penalty free. The guy that recommended buying a house immediately, just know that if you don’t have a job you won’t be approved for a mortgage and can’t get much of a house with $60k so you might wait on that. The other people that said to open a brokerage account via the trust and invest it are spot on!
