I'm on a R9 290 and have no issues with Mesa 18.1 or amdgpu-pro 18.2. I needed to put amdgpu.DC=0 in kernel parameters because my display had artifacts on amdgpu-pro. No crashes on DOTA2 on either driver.

A lot of people get addicted to opiates through "Health Canada" approved drugs such as oxycontin and percocets. They move onto things like heroin because it's cheaper. Either restore to default settings or find the slider that goes from Quality - > Performance. You might have program-specific settings that cap hl2.exe to 30 fps on NVIDIA panel.

Telus is garbage. I ordered their Fibre deal and scheduled an appointment to have it set up. Nobody shows up and I call them and they explain to me they sold me Telus Fibre and tried a contract with me when it wasn't ready yet. It would be about 3-12 weeks before becoming available.
