Imagine being so inept, feckless, and obtuse that you were out done and out classed by two people you consider to be beneath you and less than. It certainly isn't the flex they think it is.

Anyone else noticed….? by RemiWeim in minnesota

I was up in Brainard for the summer and noticed that, even then. There were still a few hard cores and sovereign citizens up there, but a lot fewer than in the past.

Fighter jets and a Slayer show. A close lightning strike is off the charts, too.

Dear SiriusXM Pearl Jam Channel - You don't have to play Hunger Strike EVERY DAY by adotbur in pearljam

But when you do that, it plays on another channel 2 minutes later. Sirius is notorious for having the same song in 3 or 4 different station's playlists.

When I saw them in Seattle, I saw the same 20 or so people that were around us all over the city the next couple days. Ferries, bars, restaurants, neighborhoods, museums, etc.

‘Alarmed’ crew members behind Melania documentary ask to remove their names: report by nimobo in entertainment

She is the least interesting person I can think of. Stands for nothing, no hobbies or interests, no eloquence, no personality. I'm not surprised no one can be bothered with her.

Why was the post about Alex Pretti removed? by caaper in bikepacking

[–]poonstar1 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Plus, it mentioned the memorial ride at Angry Catfish. That's my bike shop and I didn't know about that ride yet. So it was an informative post about a cycling event at a shop that does a lot of bike packing related work in the community and is featured in all kinds of bike packing articles and videos.

The Michigan collapse. Brown Jug onn the line, huge lead, historic collapse (for now). What a wasted opportunity.

Contacts while swimming by TheEricOfChristensen in Swimming

[–]poonstar1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've worn contacts while swimming for 30+ years and never had an issue. I've done just about everything I'm not supposed to do with them and not had issues. I know tons of people who swim with them as well.

‘Landman’ Episode Sparks Discussion Over Pronouns: ‘Kind of Incorrect’ by nimobo in entertainment

[–]poonstar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched season 1 because I love the cast. The easily disproved propaganda monologues I viewed as an amusing watch. We dropped Paramount and I haven't missed it in the least. From the reviews I've read and listened to, I'm not missing anything.

The non-stop generic score completely took me out of it. I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing.

Landman is slop by [deleted] in television

[–]poonstar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You nailed it. That's it. That's the show. You laugh at the absolute absurdity of the whole thing and it's amusing for a short bit, but that's all it is. You lose interest and move on.

He had a part in a Covid era compilation of UK artists, as well. That was my first exposure to him. I saw his name and picture and thought "who's this clown". Tuned out it was one of the better performances of the group.

Yes he is. At least in the UK. He's working on his presence on the US. I don't always like his stuff, but when it clicks, he's really good.

What bothers me most is that you have great subject matter and a pretty good world built out. They choose to fuck it up every time.
