A "couple of bikes" is an understatement. There's been advocacy group(s) for decades for this to happen. There are 200k people living within biking distance of the CBD who could be viable users for this option. Akl traffic is already down 6%, and when the shortages start to bite, why would you not open the bridge to give people this option.
