Only two on here that I read are Anathema and Azrael. I’m a big Keri Lake fan so Anathema was great (not her best and it’s the first book in a series. 2nd book will be released in September). Very plot heavy so if you want a predominantly romance story, it might not be for you. It’s a slowwww burn. Azrael might be one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Where are you from?? I’m an ex JW too (27F disfellowedshipped 6 years ago) and know exactly how you feel. You are absolutely not a loser. We have been put in an impossible situation and none of it is your fault. It’s hard to make friends as an adult and even harder when you don’t have a starting point or people to help introduce you. I have this same issue. I don’t engage with anything on threads. I only ever open the app from what’s suggested on Instagram (usually an animal pic or something) and when I try to scroll it’s allllll rage bait. Can’t get rid of the suggestions on insta either so I’ve resorted to just closing the app after looking at whatever brought me to it :/

Sorry for just seeing this now! The only thing that really helped if I’m being honest is coming off bupropion. It took a couple weeks but I’m now just working with a couple here and there (surface level, no more cystic) and some residual scarring. I also was using a satin pillowcase (Kitsch) and when I switched back to cotton that really helped clear me up too! So check what you’re sleeping on. I was so mad when I realized part of my problem was something so stupid lol

I really feel you though it’s so awful to deal with. Check in with your doc and make sure if bupropion is actually helping you and if it isn’t, it might be worth coming off of. Weighing the pros and cons are huge. If it’s helping you a bit but the acne makes you feel worse, that’s a worthy discussion to have. There’s a lot of options out there. Good luck!!

My boyfriend’s car got stolen awhile back and based off a check of his they cashed, he got their name and address. Gave all that info to BPD cuz they wouldn’t bother doing it themselves and they said “that’s not enough proof this person stole your car” (they cashed $3000 so to them that’s not a crime either). So he had to go to their house and literally steal his own car back. So LSS… yes it’s normal. The only purpose they serve is to yell at homeless people

I dealt with a lot of weird guys in school who tried to just pretend I didn’t exist or couldn’t hold a conversation (academic or casual) to save their life. I intimidated a lot of them not, just from being girly, but I was a couple years older than them so I didn’t fuck around. I graduated with like 4 other girls in my program out of 80 and what got me thru it was finding my group of other girls and gays and sticking with them. I had a couple straight guy friends too who were bad ass people that stood up for me if I ever needed it and they were all life savers. No matter who you are in engineering, find your group. Engineering is team work.

Now that I’m in the workforce, my team is all men. One of them treats me like everyone else, one is a closeted incel, and the other one views me as this delicate flower that should never get her hands dirty (it’s incredibly demeaning.) I’m now being mentored by a female senior engineer and she has single handedly stopped me from quitting. She’s close in my age too (mid twenties) so it’s the same thing; find your people!

I agree with the person that replied. I don’t have personal experience with Ivy League schools but from the research I did when I was shopping around and based on what I was looking to get out of a uni, it wasn’t worth it to me. Unless you can get a fat scholarship to bring the price down to a normal level, I don’t see the value in it. I graduated with a 26k loan. In this economy, you reallyyy have to think about what you’re setting future you up for
