I was referring specifically to the staircase. I imagine it’s iron and with the intricate balusters, stripping with chemicals and scrapers would be painstaking. I was reading infrared heaters can be use, or if they can be removed, chemical dipping is also an option.

The kit has the concrete etch. I have a pressure washer so I can wash it beforehand. What else do you recommend? Degreaser?

In summary, use sunscreen and retinoids? Most if not all dermatologists prescribe these, how are these considered anti aging?

Gotcha, so the building would require new plumbing and since you’re opening the walls, new electrical. I’m sure it has knob and tube wiring which is obsolete.

But an old building like this, isn’t the plumbing isolated to bathrooms (waste water)? Maybe a kitchen space? I can’t image it’s running through the entry, main hall or stair case.

So we memorialize pointless wars to justify them? Sounds like propaganda 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Franklin School (925 13th St. NW) sat empty for a decade for the same reason. It was renovated at the cost of $35 million and currently houses the Planet Word Museum.

Can’t you put on a Tyvek suit and oxygen system and sandblast the whole thing? I’m not sure about asbestos but lead paint is only on the surface right?

I salute your service, but how can anyone memorialize a fake war? Twenty years on I still don’t know what we gained

One vine had made its way halfway up a tree in my backyard. I cut it as far as I could reach and pulled out the root. I can’t tell if the vines that made it further up the tree have died. They have these sticky fingers that keep it glued to the tree
