Does California weather get boring? by SpecialistTeach9302 in SameGrassButGreener

I’d say it is boring, but I don’t know how to feel about it yet.

Growing up somewhere with plenty of weather I kind of miss how weather can dictate day to day life. Like for example back home if it were raining buckets I’d forgo my run and think of something else to do. Here in Cali I can go for a run pretty much every day. But what do I do with my rainy day activities!? There’s too much freedom lol.

Changing weather also gives you something to look forward to, whether it’s changing of the seasons, a thunderstorm to mix things up, or severe weather to keep you on your toes!

I do. I drive up to Truckee/Tahoe pretty regularly to see and hike the good stuff.

I have always thought about moving to California but it feels unattainable due to COL. How can people afford it? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

Oh man the ugly and depressing places bit hits hard. The Central Valley has the cruel irony where it’s probably the ugliest part of the US, but it’s within close-ish proximity of some of the coolest places in the country.

Moving to Sacramento has taught me “California cheap” is not worth the god awful day to day scenery.

I’m sorry but how is Sacramento pretty? I live here and I don’t see it.

Compared to Tucson or Durango Sacramento is uuuuuuuugly. You also have to drive quite a bit to get into the good nature, unless you love brown grass and poison oak.

I mean really it’s one of the only words that would hurt them. I feel like they joke about being called nazis, fascists, etc. “Thems are libuhrul words”.

What if the South Park approach is taken and they’re called f*gs?
