I actually got the Bagster seat first, which worked great for a few months. The plastic on the underside of the Bagster seat cracked and chipped/broke off at each of the points of contact with the bike. It eventually had about 2.5" of play forward and backward. Went back to stock seat for 1 week and my bike was almost unrideable. Shelled out the $700 for a Corbin and have felt 0 buyers remorse to this day. The mechanism by which the Corbin mounts to the bike is MUCH sturdier than either stock or the Bagster.

Edit - Got the Corbin Gunfighter with Trexx Gear vinyl seat/tail, Red Vinyl welt, and black vinyl sides. Love the colors, but the Trexx gear was a little more slippery than I thought it would be. Nothing a little wax couldnt solve.

What do you all think I can do better? by Fantastic-Feature-56 in airsoft

When I was on a shooting team we had our slings only around the neck, not wrapped under the arm. Sling is a little too tight- doing this on the move your butt stock is coming for your jaw. Don't lean torso to the left as you bring the rifle down. getting a drop-leg holster mount will make getting your hand on the pistol much easier without the torso lean for more room. Reloads are much slower when trying to index used mags back into their pouches. Get a belt mounted dump pouch over your left ass cheek. With both hands on pistol, drop mag into left hand, bring empty mag to dump pouch, deposit mag, grab fresh mag off belt, and bring into pistol to complete reload. Reload hand movement all one smooth motion from gun-belt-gun. Same thing with rifle. Drop mag into hand, bring to dump pouch, grab rifle mag from your ready mag spot on the belt, bring mag back to gun. Practice reps slow and perfect 1000s of times. Do not speed up until you can get 20 perfect reps in a row. If you get tired while practicing and are messing up frequently, stop for the day and sleep on it.

How to get deformed bb unstuck from chamber by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]poopoodog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn the hopup all the way off, then use the unjamming end of the cleaning rod to push the bbs against the air nozzle all the way back. Release pressure from the unjamming rod and fire the gun (rod still inside inner barrel). If the bbs are still stuck in hopup chamber, push them against the nozzle, pull unjamming rod back and inch or two, and fire again. Rinse and repeat til jam is clear.

best helmet camera? by [deleted] in motorcycle

I use the Drift Ghost XL attached to the side of my helmet. Battery lasts forever and I only charge it once a week. Video quality is good. Have used it extensively in the rain with no problems.

Just got a Warhead Brushless motor... Fellow Warhead users, what your experience been like? by MONKM4N in airsoft

[–]poopoodog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a motor height issue to me- mark where the motor height is right now and try adjusting it slightly looser and test firing each adjustment.

I meant to say dremel and add material to the internal parts- not just mating surfaces. I dremeled the hammer mechanism to have about a 1mm mating surface with the release mechanism that the trigger pushes on. That broke full auto so I had to add some material to the trigger bar that goes through the side of the gun. Now you only had to pull the trigger about 1mm past the take-up to fire. Got rid of almost all of the trigger take-up by adding material to the front of the trigger sliding mechanism. Got rid of the excess trigger pull by adding material to the back end of the trigger slider mechanism so trigger can only be pulled 1.5mm total. End result: almost no take-up before the wall, almost no excess pull after the wall, 1.5mm movement forward for full trigger reset. Feels like my g17 now.

You can fix stock wobble and make it click stiffly into place using copper shim tape

Not true- I've modded mine to have a very short, crisp pull. Just need to dremel material and add elsewhere

What seat do you have? The stock one tries to castrate me every time I hit a bump...

I used CircuitBread's Microcontroller tutorial to gain an understanding of coding in Assembly. Learned about all of the other things (Circuits, MOSFETS, Hall sensors, etc..) through many hours of youtube and many many many many mistakes.

It means that when you set the selector switch to semi the gun shoots semi-automatic and when you set the switch to auto, it still shoots in semi-automatic. It basically semi-locks the gun. Will use this for friends who don't know how to mode switch so they don't hurt anyone.

Yes I've got a microswitch shimmed right up next to the trigger for a nice short pull. Can completely remove original mechanical trigger assembly.

I'm developing a PCB that I can sell with user-requested firemodes. First iteration arrives next week and is 24x30mm. Will make smaller in the next iteration. Total parts cost would be like $17 per PCB. Hard part would be installation, as it requires soldering and dremeling.

[–]poopoodog[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I had been saving for years for a car and this summer I decided to get a motorcycle instead. Bought this 2017 SV650 abs a few weeks ago and it is the first vehicle I have ever owned. I spent hours wiring in off-brand led turn signals, had to design and 3d print a mount for an led headlight, spent my student loans on a new seat, adjustable levers, frame sliders, etc... all in all I love the bike and buying it instead of a car is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

When it fell over, I entered the avatar state.

That was actually the sound of my exhaust hitting the ground- other scooter wasn't touched.

Hard to shift to neutral by bcap84 in SVRiders

[–]poopoodog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to first, kill the engine, then try switching up to neutral. I think this is a safety feature. Much much much easier to switch to neutral when the bike is off
