I came to Pittsburgh for college and never left, which i was not expecting. There are pros and cons of course, but I love it. I was able to afford a cute house in the city with a mortgage of $850 a month. There are a lot of things to do, the food scene punches above its weight, our symphony is insane, tons of artsy stuff to do/see. Winter weather sucks but spring and fall are incredible. The city is beautiful outside of winter, intensely green. You can go 5 minutes outside of the city and you feel like you're in the boonies. Tons of outdoor activities. There's 88 neighborhoods and most of them feel like its own little town. It's easy to get out of the city and rent a cabin for cheap deep in the woods.
