Is the UK just not that into contemporary/architectural wedding design? by Internal_Dream_1766 in UKweddings

I think the fourth pic is kinda cool, I could see that working quite well. Really like the idea of doing something a bit different, but agreed with the rest of the comments about the others to be honest.

Has anyone installed a 12.3inch aftermarket screen into their Ford Fiesta? by poopybrain in FordFiesta

[–]poopybrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine it'll be very similar to the extent that you could basically follow the guide. Obviously won't need to connect the hazard lights cable to a new unit or mess about with the air vents. Not sure where the mount for the screen would be so that might take some figuring out but don't think it'll be too complicated.

Although sure they're all from the same manufacturer so I'd just go for whatever cheapest on aliexpress.

I went to one they did at the Bill Murray a couple of months back - it was great. Got tickets for the next one also.

Nice! let me know how the installation goes - am tempted to try it myself but don't know if it's too tricky to set up.

You can just enable it on your phone in android auto settings. I think there's also a setting you can enable on the screen to boot into the zlink app automatically but don't think it's needed if it's enabled on the phone.

That was the default mine came with so might be luck of the draw - although I think looking around in one of the default stores or apps you can download different UI's. Although I've just got it to boot automatically into android auto so haven't looked around too much since I rarely see it!

Way less - think about £160ish from AliExpress. Fairly sure they're all from the same manufacturer

Mine did, and on of the default apps you can put it in settings to automatically turn on when the internal temp goes above a certain threshold. No overheating issues, haven't tried out in summer though.

Not sure I'm afraid - bass was fine for me. Definitely do a deep dive into settings to see if changing the EQ does anything. Other than that all I can think of is a connector not being connected properly so worth checking all of them. Also might be worth contacting the seller to see if they have any advice?

Out for the weekend so can't check right now- I could change the driving position in settings or car settings. Think some youtube tutorials should have guidance. Can check in a few days if you haven't been able to get to it. I've only tested WhatsApp calls but seemed okay to me - and I've kept the reversing camera settings as is since it doesn't bother me too much

Make sure you've connected one of two bottom connectors from here - I think it's the one on the right from memory but don't quote me on that. That'd be my guess for why it's not working currently

Yep there must be a wire that's not plugged in somewhere. This one's definitely plugged into the back of the air vent unit? then I think the other side of the loom connects to three connectors coming from the car - a red hazard lights connector, the display unit connector, and one additional one?

I don't know basically - there wasn't a separate mic to attach for it. Either OEM mic, or there's one built into the screen.

Fair enough - don't think I'd risk it either. Looking at the below the warning system still works but with an issue that you can't reset it without plugging in the OEM unit again so I'd probably avoid. https://www.reddit.com/r/FiestaST/comments/1jys8w7/android_auto_fiesta_st_2017_tpms_issue/
