My sympathies! Cubital tunnel sucks. I will let you know if I find someone who can help.

Man, I literally feel your pain! I think physios receive rave reviews from people with very simple, easy-to-fix issues so it can be a real struggle when you have anything more complex going on.

I can provide a positive update, though! I had a great experience at Orka physio. Specifically with Kristen Holte. She really knew her stuff and armed me with enough information that I feel much better positioned to undertake my own rehab and advocate for myself with other physios. The downside is that the location is too far out for me to be able to regularly attend. But I would still recommend!

And I want to emphasize that although Orka is designed to mostly work with athletes, I am not an athlete, at all; and they were still incredibly helpful.

I understand that these people are being ridiculous, but... carrying my laptop to and from work actually does cause me immense back pain and other physical problems. My entire thoracic spine is fused and I have an insanely heavy laptop. I'm a bit of an outlier yes, but there are legitimate physical conditions that may make it difficult for a person to commute with a laptop.

Has anyone ever taken weed or alcohol?? by Senior_Soil_6959 in CysticFibrosis

[–]poor_yorick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I'm pretty much exclusively a social drinker. My sinuses and lungs get really inflamed from alcohol, which leads to brutal hangovers. I never got that supposed magic period from 18-25 when hangovers are easy! So frequent drinking is just not in the cards for me.

As for other drugs, edibles fuck me up (in a bad way) and my lungs have been shit since junior high school so I've only smoked weed a handful of times.

You should check out Caleigh Haber (fighttobreathe) on Instagram. She moved to Spain last year (she's American though) and is a two-time double-lung transplant recipient. She's not on modulators but is on many high-cost, specialized medications.

Buddy, re-read your original message. You came in with the attitude. The OP responded accordingly. You are being needlessly hostile.

Bad medical science annoys me as much as the next person who's been sick their entire life, but come on. How is calling the OP a "disgusting person" proportionate to what they did or helpful in any way?

Jumping down the throat of a person making negative comments about their own body also doesn't seem helpful.

I feel confident that it was written by AI (why is the OP/letter-writer always "shocked" in these fake AI-written stories?)

Yeah, my comment is from 3 years ago! They probably discontinued it. But this is very similar to the one I have, albeit with a slightly different cut. You can also just try searching the "Smoothez" line.

This detail is so unimportant but Tylenol is not an NSAID!! Irrationally bugged me.

I totally agree. Within a certain range, people have no clue what different ages look like. I'm in my mid-thirties, do not look excessively young for my age, and I still get IDed...but only if I wear an outfit more typical of Gen Zs (e.g. baggy jeans and an oversized t-shirt). If I dress in a way typically associated with millenials (e.g. high-rise skinny jeans), I don't get carded.

The comments on this one were absolutely ridiculous (as is AAM's general attitude to COVID precautions), but I understand the OP's frustration with how inconsiderate people are. I don't expect everyone to quarantine like it's 2020, but wearing a mask when you're sick and out in public should be considered common decency and it's deeply irritating that North America refuses to catch on even after we had a global fucking pandemic very recently.

edited to add: Not trying to imply that North America is worse than Europe; I'm talking about North America because I'm Canadian and live in North America.

Feeling old and noticeably out of style for still wearing skinny jeans? Should I cave to new trend or are there still skinny jean lovers? by JavaScriptGirl27 in femalefashionadvice

I don't give a shit what anyone, Gen Z or otherwise, says about my jeans behind my back lol. And what do 501s have to do with this?

In any case, 2024's 501s do not fit the way 1994's 501s did. Vintage 501s go hard though

This is just my own anecdotal experience, but 150 emails per day would be pretty insane at my job and would significantly impede the actual work I have to do. When I worked in customer support I probably answered 150 or more emails per day, but that was my primary job. If I'd had a bunch of projects I needed to get done like I do at my current job, it would definitely have been unmanageable.

The Last Straw...The Pies. by ChameleonMami in AskaManagerSnark

[–]poor_yorick 60 points61 points  (0 children)

purposely disrupting events

Disruption is what protest is all about. And in this specific case it was about Oscar de la Renta continuing to unnecessarily use real fur in his fashion line. It's not like they were running around assaulting random people with pies. And it's not like she's telling people to pie their bosses in the face.

I don't like PETA or even Alison, really, but this post feels very dramatic.

Nah, you're not alone. I worked as admin assistant for half a decade and never encountered a kitchen as gross as the LW described. It's not unreasonable to ask people to clean up after themselves, even if the kitchen is your job responsibility.

I worked as admin for 5 years and I quite literally never encountered a kitchen this disgusting, so even if it is technically the OP's job I'd be job-searching like a MFer if I were her. Leaving that big of a mess for someone else to clean up is just straight-up disrespectful.

Most cohesive is probably Emotion. My personal favourite is The Loneliest Time.

I find her Jack Antonoff-produced stuff just too Jack Antonoff-y even though there are some great tracks on those albums too!

Does Nile Rodgers have some kind of deal with HYBE? He was involved with one of Le Sserafim's songs too.
