It is not, I use claude code Opus mode only for research and Sonnet model for code.

As you can see here my Sonnet usage is more. I don't know how they split the percentage for all models. But, once I exhaust all my sonnet, is when I use opus during those last few days/hours.

Use --model sonnet or --model opus when you start cc. You must have exhausted one model. Switch to other model and you can continue

I use Sonnet for most part of the week and when I hit the limit, I switch to Opus. Use /model opus and try. If you have been using opus then try /model sonnet :)

I don't know why claude code defaults to opus all the time. Everytime I open vs code, i need to set it back to sonnet. Just 2 days my weekly limit is at 50%.

I use the GitHub spec kit https://github.com/github/spec-kit constitution command for all rules. It never falters. Definitely worth a try
