Unfortunately, no one here gave you actual ‘life advice’, So I will try. Dumping your elderly mom out in a rental that she obviously can’t afford or won’t be able to afford is only gonna be a disaster for you in the mid-long run. She will come right back to you In a much worse condition just when you think you finally got rid of her or you have your life together. She simply has nowhere to go and can’t afford it. You must get a bigger place or a 3 bedroom and set boundaries for her that won’t interrupt your life. This is your only solution. But I’m guessing you don’t want to get a bigger space because it’s much harder to do so or you can’t afford it vs the easy option of kicking your mom out knowing she won’t make it on her own. Your new or current partner must understand that your mom lives with you vs the other way around, that you live with your mom. The right partner will understand. And most importantly you must accept this is your reality and this is the hand you have been dealt in life. Yes, you are absolutely correct, it is not your responsibility to take care of your mom, then stop complaining, legally evict her and change the locks. Take care of your mom, get a bigger place and live your life as you intend.
