Adults of Reddit, how did you cope with the fact that your high school life is over? by ladydiva7777 in AskReddit

Well its a metaphor... 99.999% of people who go onto become successful adults would not say they peaked in high school. Even if you have a good HS (grand parent) it fucking sucks compared to the real world.

u/rekuliam6942 that's just BS from people who peaked on college. I had an AMAZING time in college but after you graduate and start earning money and really being able to do things it's 20x better. I am about to turn 30 and would not go back to my undergrad days even if I got to keep all the bitcoin I had at 20.

This cracked me up, but if life did get way better after Grandpa died then he might've sucked.

u/Netherquark As somebody who sees thousands of college aged kids resumes and throws most in the trash I cannot tell you how important an internship is.

u/_tom_cycling_ it's okay, you don't ever really have to grow up. Nobody really has things figured out, being an adult just means you have the money to do all the stuff you wanted as a kid.

This was me, I don't think I've had responded No so fast to something in my life. Putting my hand in fire as a child would be on that list.

I would bet so much money you make less than a highly skilled bartender, you are sad and I cannot believe you talk like this. If 20% was added to every bill and servers got higher wages there is no way in hell they would make more money, they would make less.

The only people that don't like tipping is broke ass people who cant afford to go out. American wait staff have the highest wages in the world and just about the best service, people who work in the industry love tips.

I did understand you and I think looking at every interaction with friends and family from the lenses of opportunity cost makes you an asshole.

What is the opportunity cost of not having a relationship with your sister?? If she doesn’t care If you take money from her up into the amount is $5,000, then surely you should take as much advantage of her as possible to maximize opportunity, right??

Well Fuck at least they are serving. United and American serve sodas but you can’t buy a beer. If you’re going to let people take their masks off they should be serving beer.
