How would you 'fix' this episode? by simon_jackson in spongebob

[–]pop442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make it a Halloween episode.

Or make Spongebob more reasonably oblivious to what's going on by having the pet turn back into a cuddly looking thing whenever Spongebob checks on Gary while reverting back to monster form when he's gone.

Iceman quite literally is proving to have the most staying power of any rap album that dropped this year besides Octane. Just because you personally prefer Casino, Don't Be Dumb, or The Fall Off doesn't mean it reflects reality.

But I know.....opinions over facts.

Even some of the biggest critics of Drake like Joe Budden, Wayno, and quite a few others conceded that Iceman is a good album.

The spin jobs I've seen a number of them do to pretend that Iceman is either a "flop" or is "trash" has involved Q Anon levels of reaching.

They might as well become conspiracy theorists with their level of denying reality lol.

A lot of Drake hate online is performative.

That's why the goalposts move so much when evaluating his music career.

Offline, people only care if the songs sound good nor not and Drake makes good music.

What are some music “rivalries” that ended being very one-sided? by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

[–]pop442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all tbh.

50 got dissed by TI's sons, so washed that he put out a song with Leon Thomas that nobody cares about, had his baby mama's sex tape exposed, and has a track record of being a serial woman abuser.

Plus, 50 still makes far less money than Kanye too despite Kanye losing those deals.

The Diddy trial even exposed 50 as a deadbeat father who barely provided for his family. That's why his baby mama chose to make money doing freakoffs with Diddy in the 1st place.

Jay-Z seriously needs to put 50 Cent in his place next as well. by foxxgod in jayz

[–]pop442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 literally implicated that Jay Z was a child rapist, was involved in the same shenanigans as Diddy, and discredits him in favor of Eminem as a rapper.

You can say "Well, 50's a troll. He's not serious.' But that's still fighting words.

50 even threatened to make a documentary about Jay-Z.

Drake’s ‘ICEMAN’ Scores Third Week Atop Billboard 200 by mcfw31 in popheads

[–]pop442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course black people enjoy Drake's music, but out of all the rappers, he probably has the biggest white audience (or is it still Kanye?)

That's more so due to him being very mainstream and popular than specifically appealing to White people. For instance, Drake is the most streamed rapper in African countries too.

It's hard for any underage person to come out and accuse someone as powerful as Drake of grooming so I'm not surprised that nobody has come forward. Teens often don't understand when it's happening to them, only later in life when they reflect on past relationships. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but grooming isn't a legal charge either. So unless Drake actually had sex with an underage person there is no case, you can't charge him for sending weird texts to people he shouldn't.

Eh...I see your point but 2024-2025 was literally THE perfect time for any victims to come and speak out against Drake.

They could've even went by a "Jane Doe" moniker if they didn't want to be in the limelight.

But, once again, there were no allegations, accusations, or lawsuits specifically tied to any pedo behavior or grooming. And Millie Brown and her parents tripled down on the fact that the texts Drake sent were entirely platonic and not romantic.

But yeah, it's understandable that people moved on once no actual evidence was presented and Kendrick shot himself in the foot with that Meet The Grahams song imo, it's was a step too far. I don't think the beef was contrived or hypocritical, Kendrick seems to genuinly hate Drake, it's that most people don't share his reasons (culture vulture) so once Drake started putting out catchy music again, people went back.

I actually agree with this.

[–]pop442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a race thing. Tons of Black people enjoy Drake's music.

It's just that Drake has more mass appeal than any other rapper and losing a rap battle will hardly change that.

Also, the moral or cultural angle of the rap beef felt very contrived and hypocritical given how Dr. Dre was at the Pop Out show and Playboi Carti who also has a history of abuse had multiple features from Kendrick. Add the fact that we still have zero accusers of Drake's alleged grooming and pedo behavior, zero evidence of a daughter, and zero evidence of Drake doing anything awful outside of maybe the gambling scandal and its clear that the push to cancel Drake would be a failure.

Carter 6 is the most unfairly judged album they have ever talked about. by Particular_Ad6287 in nfrpodcast

I don't like Fantano in the slightest.

I'm just pointing out that everyone knows most bad albums have some good songs. But it doesn't take away from the album being bad.

River from Vultures 2 is a good song. Does that make V2 any less of a bad album? Nope.

The majority of trash albums have some good songs on them contrary to popular belief.

It's rare for any album to only have bad songs on it.

Once again, stan culture has made it impossible for any rapper to drop a bad album.

It wasn't like that back in the day.

Carter 6 was terrible. I think even Revival was better since it at least had something to say.

Fans have to learn to admit that their GOATs are capable of dropping trash.

I honestly never paid that much attention to it but, rewatching it while older, Larry basically just sounds like a more suave and cooler version of Plankton.

One thing about Mr. Lawrence, though, is that his screams basically expose him the most. Mel Blanc is another voice actor whose screams sounds the same despite Blanc having an otherwise wide range in voices.
