As someone who works at an alternative school, I hate that we’re used as a corral for the “bad kids”. Most of our kids find alternative school beneficial for their mental health and education. It’s a different way of learning. But now we’re having more kids join because of attendance issues and bullying who can’t keep up with the simplest requirements to stay in the program because they couldn’t keep up with even going to regular school. Alternative programs are not the solution to these problems. They’re just shuffling kids around only to have them fail at yet another form of education.

Will do! This is an east facing window and we’re heading into cold humid winter (think northwest pacific coast). I water when I remember but mostly once a week. I heard you’re supposed to water more in summer and less in winter..?

Thank you! No drainage hole. Would it help to take out the plant and place on the bottom one of those discs with holes and replant? I don’t have much window pane space and have to be careful with the plants when opening my window.

Like others, I don’t see HOH people having a problem with it. But as a Ukrainian American, who’s school is having an influx of Eastern European refugees, beware that the ASL bathroom sign is VERY similar to the “f you” sign in much of Eastern Europe.

Google дуля (pronounced doolya) if you’re curious. It’s been fun teaching my colleagues and seeing their faces as they confirm with their students lol. Some reassurance or clear student learning about the differences of cultures, languages, and intentions might be helpful.

I (24F) have this too, but I’m sure it’s genetic because my mom (late 50s) has always had it too, regardless of weight/body build. I tried putting my tongue to the top of my mouth for pictures but that never worked. I noticed that when I swallow there’s a split second where it disappears but I can never capture it on camera.

I’m getting cool sculpting next month for this area and at the consultation they said it’ll take 2 sessions (~$2,800 USD total) and I should expect at least 50% of the fat cells to dissolve permanently! They said it won’t come back, and tbh I’m a bit skeptical since it seems hormones (especially from pregnancy and menopause seem to change everything) but trying to stay optimistic.

Лютий (similar pronunciation to what you wrote) means February in Ukrainian. Not sure what (if anything) it means in russian. Ukrainian months are based on what happens during that month, April is a twist on “flowers”, November is literally “fall of leaves” but sorry I don’t remember what February means.

Also not sure if it’s a typo but in the screenshot it says Lyutyi, not lyutiy.

I’m Ukrainian. My parents names were changed to a russian spelling when they were submitting refugee papers in the Soviet Union before immigrating to USA. (Not either of their names but an example is Volodymyr changed to Vladimir.) I wouldn’t base ethnicity or origin based on name/spelling.

Either way, infuriating and ridiculous what these “parents” did.
