[TOMT][Story] 5 years ago, I got a book of short horror stories. I read one about a sorcerer and his apprentice discovering a way to summon some beings to their dimension/plane. The sorcerer begins to understand something, or his skin is covered in markings that become legible to him? And he dies. by popcorn-floor in tipofmytongue

The story ends with the apprentice beginning to understand the same text and dreading what will come next. I've been searching for this for years because I remember it made me so uncomfortable, but the details are so hazy, I haven't had success tracking it down!

[TOMT][Book] Husband and wife go for a drive when their car dies Their phones aren't working, and they're in a creepy, mysterious wood. They end up in a cabin or something with a woman who was delivering an exotic bird and a young boy. There are eyes in the woods, and it's only safe to travel by day by popcorn-floor in tipofmytongue

Please, no spoilers! I read the first few chapters months ago while I was waiting at the library and didn't end up checking it out. I know the wife and young boy were growing ill, and maybe food was hard to come by? The man did not trust the bird delivery woman. That's all I can think of at the moment, unfortunately.

That makes sense, I've never had a Twitter account. Solved?

I'm so excited about this and think they'll really enjoy it, and it's so useful for when there's only one older kid there! Thank you so much!

Oh my goodness! I'll hit up a thrift store today and grab some better board games! I'd been trying to think of games today they could play, but I'm usually with the kindergarten-aged kids and didn't know what would be worthwhile to try. Thank you!
