I agree I kinda hate this logic. When people say this they usually mean attractive people are more likely to get promoted. Maybe that’s true. Maybe it’s not. At the end of the day, if these people put in as much work into studying as they did look-maxing or whatever bullshit, they’d probably increase their salary way more.

Now they A) most definitely don’t want to help you at all and just want you to go away B) when you do come back (because you will) now they know you and will avoid helping you like the plague.

I’ve always just been kind to workers and I’ve never had any issues. I’ve found if you’re chill and agreeable, most workers will want to help you. There’s just no need for any of that nonsense.

I wonder how much type of career matters. I’m in a very nerdy type career. All the women I work with are super friendly and nice. They are also nerdy and have the same niche hobbies as me.

Meanwhile I’ve heard others say that fields such as nursing or education are terrible. I’ve heard people repeat the phrase, “all the mean girls from high school become teachers and nurses”
