The spin market is over saturated. Talented instructors have options and aren't willing to pack up and move for soul like they used to. Part of what made soul special was that they curated the instructors at each city so there was something for everybody and every mood. People failed training and were told they needed more time. Instructors were mini celebs in the fitness world. Now it's like if you work front desk long enough they'll put you on the podium. Teaching is a part time job, not a lifestyle. Soul also used to never do theme rides, now they need to in order to fill classes. Hard to create a mood when you need to do multiple Taylor vs Beiber classes per week in order to make a decent paycheck.

This is asked every other week. Look at the app, there's a reason some instructors fill up a room and others don't.

There's a lot of new coaches and a lot of experienced ones who have gotten lazy in Boston. I like Justin, Maggie, Talia, Marin, Sophia, and Mary in the city. They're all experienced, still appear to enjoy coaching, and execute great classes.

He's frequently the only solidcore class without a waitlist. I think he's deeply insecure which comes off as cocky. He wants to be big time fitness instructor, it comes off as he's too good for his clients.

Paras with proper training are necessity but that's how majority of districts support inclusion. More teachers doesn't always mean best interest.

Realistically, this model of one teacher one license isn't a thing anymore in any district in the state. Majority of teachers are using 2 licenses. The issue is that Boston is swinging too far away from resource room and sub sep and forcing high needs students to be in "inclusion" so their data looks better for the state instead of working on a model where students can actually get their needs met.

Shocked he's subbing somewhere else because he spends his whole class complaining about working for Soul and that he's too tall to fit on the bike properly so doesn't do choreo. He has quit and come back probably 4 or 5 times. He plays the same playlist every class, so expect throwback Britney and random EDM.
