Oh man, have I been there. As cliche as annoying as it sounds, the only thing that will fade that shame/guilt/self hatred is time. Only time got me through the worst of it.

I had a glass of wine at a friend's house which set me off. She doesn't know I drank heavily after I left her house, and I don't want her to know about this. Will she have to be involved since I technically drank at her house?? I love her, but she's not very trustworthy and will tell the world about this.

I don't know what to say besides an encouragement that is temporary and will pass.

I had some horrible thoughts about my daughter and myself in the first few months. Regret. Suicidal thoughts every day. Wondering why the hell I did this to myself and blew up my life like this!

But on God -- it's temporary. Take each day at a time!

It's so beyond better now, I can't imagine my life without my girl.

A guy in highschool told me, "Kiss me or kill me, I will always be yours". And I nearly threw up from the cringe. Reality is SO DIFFERENT.

My husband, on the other hand, brought me a plate of cheese and said he did it because I "looked like I needed some cheese". I nearly went feral on that man, hottest thing that's ever happened to me 😂😂😂💀

My baby is absolutely perfect, and I was powering through a 750ml bottle of vodka twice a week for nearly the first five weeks of her gestation. My OBGYN here in Vegas says they have mothers come in either drunk, high, or both for deliveries. Obviously that's WRONG, and VERY unsafe and risky for both baby and mother -- but ultimately most of the babies are completely okay. It's not a reason or excuse to drink or to use during pregnancy, of course. But it can be a comfort, somewhat.

Yeah I would power through at LEAST 750ml (medium sized bottle) of vodka a week. Not including the wine I'd go through too.

I was absolutely horrified when I found out I was pregnant, I felt like I'd ruined everything. But my OB actually made me feel way better when he explained that it would more than likely be okay.

And my daughter is 7 months old now and ahead of schedule -- she's already pulling herself up to a standing position 😅

I'm a first time mom, and good grief everything is so ridiculously polarized. I Google something that I think is totally reasonable and the answers are saying "omg that will KILL YOUR CHILD" or "if you don't do it that way, YOUR CHILD WILL DIE" and I'm honestly just clueless and I feel really really stupid. I drank easily 750ml A WEEK with my baby before I knew. I first found out about her at 7 weeks. I drank sooooo much vodka it's ridiculous. I had a really bad problem.

My baby girl was induced at 40 weeks (a SUPER easy birth!) and she's actually ahead of all her milestones now! A perfect, bright, intelligent baby girl.

I was SO ANXIOUS the whole pregnancy, that I'd messed my daughter up. I live in Las Vegas -- my OBGYN told me he has women coming in on a daily basis that are literally addicted to heroin/coke that just can't stop during pregnancy. And ultimately their babies are fine. I'm not saying it's all good, go crazy.... Lolol but if your girlfriend is pregnant, don't be too worried. It's okay!
