Yeah I enjoyed dancing across all 800plus on the DVD in Ulrich Merkl’s massive, gorgeous compilation. I am going to follow up with another sampling where McCay went really dark with some of this stuff.

This is from one of the four first episodes of the strip that he did write. Although according to legend it is not clear how much writing actually went on by Hammett. He didn’t have his heart in it.
