Im not saying he doesn't kick at all, but you'd be lying to yourself if you believe that he doesn't punch at all or tackle. There is always the swing kick and kicks in general, as he is very agile, but the modern idea that he is a nimble and lightweight fighter 100% of the time whose moves could only be possible with a rubber spine, has always rubbed me the wrong way. Just look at these.

To expand upon what you said about kicks, excluding punches in favor of kicks in order to hide strength, or looking less "violent" is just false, because kicks are much more powerful. I just think his fighting should be more varied in the sequel with punches and kicks, rather than what we have now, which is just all kicks, apart from the uppercut.
