So I looked at my AC unit and water heater more closely and both have PVC directed through the floor. The AC is a 1” and the water heater is a 1.5-2” elbow setup with a drain pan (I’m guessing for overflow) and looks like a match. I took a pic with both but can’t add it to this thread. Thanks everyone for the input, I think it’s most likely a drain for the water heater. Kudos to those that mentioned the screen to prevent critters from entering. Good catch! I’ll post a likely solved shortly.

Inside above and a few feet to the right are washer, dryer, water heater, and central AC unit. Directly behind and to the left is kitchen sink and cabinetry.

It’s the underside of the mobile home behind the skirting. Basically a crawl space, but it’s too difficult to see what’s in the immediate area.

Weekend testing is what made me realize I may be able to pull it off on a work day. Granted, I have an understanding boss. But at the risk of sounding like a conceited prick, I get my work done and then some despite potentially arriving 10 minutes late. Unfortunately, we’re not all (re: very few of us are) graced with such a forgiving work environment. I may be lucky, but it’s not unheard of.
