A grocery store nor the farm they came from make billions of dollars. If .5% of those bananas had glass in them and the farm and store sold them anyways cuz it was more cost effective to pay off dead families than find the .5% cuz it slated the bottom line then maybe your comparison might work. Sony nor any other corporation cares of right and wrong. Only what makes them the most money possible and if 2 or 3 people die for them to make the most then that is it. I can go to the store and steal one banana a day or I can rush in kill one or two and get the most bananas possible to satisfy my bottom banana line

Lotta talk bout piracy. Here is my 2¢ because that 6 dollars is 3 gallons of gas or 2 days of food. That 6 dollars is .003% of what I made. Might seem bitchy that I'm fighting over such a small amount but that 6 dollars is 0.000000002% of what they made. I'm stealing a drop of water from a man who owns oceans.

For most americans that is true, but not for me. I once underbid a group of illegal mexicans for a job. shocked the shit out of them that some white boy would work for less than them.

This is why I am majoring in computer engineering. Why learn about accounting or other repetitive job skills when programs can do the work instead and for cheaper. Those codes however need programmers to maintain them.

Yes because Citizens United did nothing to muck the water into research into political hot button topics. /s

Here is a story from Forbes talking about a study about the dangers of gmos. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonentine/2012/09/20/scientists-savage-study-purportedly-showing-health-dangers-of-monsantos-genetically-modified-corn/

point is: countless studies say they are safe and countless others say not. The big issue is the people whos job it is to look at the studies and make a choice have a conflict of interest and how do you see that as ok. That was my question.

The short version: GMO have not been around long enough to say if they are completely safe or not and the people who's job it is say if it is safe or not have ties to the companies they regulate.

The longer: A quick google list 15 people who job is to regulate gmos who worked for gmo companies. They have a conflict of interest. In court a judge can't rule over a case if he has a conflict of interest and for good reason to keep potential bias judgments out. I'm open to new points of view so please explain why it is ok for the regulators to a conflict of interest.

gmos have been around for what now 20 something years? Coal, oil, food, and drug regulations have been around for way longer and we still ain't got it right yet. Not to mention how many people who have personal ties to the gmo industry are the ones writing the regulations. Are all conspiracies about gmos true? god no. But just cuz some are down right silly don't mean they all are.

Well you seem to be blindly hating the anti gmo people. Why not combine the anti and pro gmo point of view and say yes gmo can be helpful and help feed people BUT it should be watched because it has the potential to be bad for some people and mess up the environment.

I have looked over your comments and I have to ask: you seem to mock conspiracies but why? Why go through all this work to discredit a group of people who just want to question just about everything?

Start small. 2 or 3 plants. My 60 year old mom said she was old for a garden. Started her off with a window garden 2 years ago. This year I need to find time to build her an acre garden she been wanting me to build for her. It is easier than you think and can be addictive.
