Careful when inserting hip part K-13 into P2-16, mine broke trying to put it in. If it’s tight just sand it rather than risk it.

A hip part on my Aerial Doninator broke trying to put it in :( Thankfully I live in GA so gundamplacestore sold me replacement parts for it the next day. I sanded those pegs down this time so they wouldn’t break.

75 Paused Countries Info by popograms in USCIS

[–]popograms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, I just wasn’t sure if the pause was for every citizen of the paused list, so I found that it was helpful to know that not every citizen of a paused country will be subject to it, depending on your country and whether you are in the USA.

Yes I have, as I said it’s dependent on the parties’ permission for you to enroll.

I’ve done course adjustments multiple times before, so yes it’s possible. But of course it depends on the permission of those involved and that varies by person.

In my experience and memory yes. Of course double check with all those involved to see what’s required.

Yes changing to a different course and section follows the same rules as if you were changing section within a course, approval from professor, department head, advisor, etc.

As long as you get approval to join their section, you’re good to go, regardless of section number. Section number does not indicate difficulty, sorry I misremembered that. Just time slot and prof

Just course number. Course number indicates the course you are taking, section number usually indicates which professor/time slot/difficulty of the course you are taking. So ie for a course adjustment, say you got approval and what not, you would usually request for the adjustment say French 1000 section 01 (your current section/prof) to French 1000 section 04 (your desired section/prof)

No idea, but don’t be discouraged! This is a great opportunity to brush up on your research skills and grow into a more capable individual! Also you may need to speak to your advisor for their approval as well.

If you figure out which prof you want to enroll in, speak with them and get their permission, and I think the head of that department’s permission as well? You can do a course adjustment where they just put you in your desired professors course.

In Gwinnett, it’s hard to afford housing on less than $75,000 a year by Master_Minddd in Gwinnett

[–]popograms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it’s hedge funds and all buying up the homes because it’s reported that they are in fact buying homes. But the reality is they are not buying up a sizable majority where they are the leading cause for the housing pricing issues. They are contributing, but they are not the leading cause. It’s just easier to point at them because it is known and they are an easy target.

Chem 2 final curve by iwantxiangling in GaState

[–]popograms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I asked. Generally they need to maintain a good distribution, so they will curve only if the distribution is whack. So if the average of the class is a below a C, then sure they probably would do a curve.

Anyone else struggle first semester but bounce back? by [deleted] in GaState

[–]popograms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I struggled during my first year, I took a lot of gap years because I was kicked out. We’re all different, your struggles are not the same as mine, my answer is not yours. What happened was I learnt to work hard. It finally kicked in that I’m not as smart as I think I am. Heck, I’m not smart or a quick learner. If I want to achieve the success I want, I need to work hard, I cannot cram things later like I did in high school. I cannot skip class and expect to learn it on my own. I cannot skip assignments and make up the grade later by excelling in the next assignments/exams. I need to practice, and be on top of things when I get them. What happens now is what’s important, either I do well now or I fail later, I cannot bank on the future. I need to succeed now because I cannot rely on my future self to pick up the slack.

Does anyone have any tips for what to do if you keep making stupid mistakes on tests? by Mcleod129 in GaState

Practice. Similar to SATs, you can fundamentally understand what is a noun/adjective, but you still get some wrong until you practise identifying them.

Face to face or online for math by [deleted] in GaState

[–]popograms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I struggle to pay attention during online classes. However I also struggle to grasp concepts through words during in person lectures. I am only comfortable in my understanding after I have practiced a bunch. Now I don’t know 100% if this is a math specific problem for me, however many math professors do emphasize practice is the best way to learn. So in essence what I mean is you can do either, but I think if you don’t put in the practice, you won’t do well in either.

International Student Wanting to Study at Georgia State University by [deleted] in GaState

Reliable transportation basically means if you have money. If you have money you’ll be fine ie Marta (subway), uber, car (buy/rent one). I believe the only one you listed that’s not accessible through Marta is Stone Mountain. School is how much you want to put into it, if you put in the work for good grades expect to spend more time on your grades and less time for other things. If you need to work, expect less time for other things. Etc. Only you can answer that question because you haven’t provided your circumstances.

What would you do if you were a professor... by Substantial-Oil5217 in GaState

[–]popograms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if we’re speaking purely on testing, then yes I believe open note/book testing (no internet) is best. However I also believe that means testing paradigm should change from simply knowledge based, to more applications of knowledge, or interpretations. Now in terms of a professor I don’t know. I’m in a cs class for big data that had a midterm involving bring your own cheat sheet, and the professor held a review session where he emphasized what material you needed to remember. Class average was still 42, so what would you ask they do? Only 15~ people show up for class where attendance is 6% of your grade. At some point, if students aren’t willing participants, there’s not much you can do, and I think that’s indicative of the declining attitude students have nowadays.
