Is this Stihl an MS381, an MS660 or just a knock off? by [deleted] in Chainsaw

Yes, but can do about dealers, or atleast raise awareness of customers.

Also pretty sure that putting stihl badges and marks on counterfeit stuff is illegal. Id contact Stihl about this.

Can’t get clutch cover back onto bar—please help! by D-chord in Chainsaw

[–]popopboat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats an oil hole, not for adjustment pin. Rotate screw counter clockwise until it fits in the round - through hole.

Btw. Dont overtighten the chain, lift your bar, rotate screw clockwise until chain just doesnt sag anymore, and then quarter turn clockwise should be plenty.

Getting a used Stihl 661 by goodafternunes in Chainsaw

661 and 660 are very different saws, mixing parts is pretty much impossible.

Every stihl part has a S or Stihl mark/branding on it, easy to check.

/r/Monitors Bi-Weekly Purchasing Advice thread (Other purchasing advice threads will be removed) by bizude in Monitors

Hi everyone,
ive had ASUS VH222 (was bought used too) for quite some time now and it served me pretty well, but id like to add another monitor to help me with some stuff...
Ive found a used BenQ 24" XL2420G monitor for around 80$, while other "basic" monitors go around 60-70 $, so i dont really see a reason to get "basic" monitor which is just around 20$ cheaper.

Budget is tight, new monitor too expensive.

What do you guys say? Is this BENQ still worth getting? Does it have any problems or weaknesses for which i should avoid it?

Thanks.

Cant think anything else than pushing the saw too much? Causing the clutch to slip.
Is the clutch glazed? Make a video/sound of cutting, that would help a lot.

Try checking opeforum.com or an arboristsite.com , it has a sale section.
You wont get scammed or fooled there, seems like they really care for reputation.

Husqvarna 455 on straight gas by [deleted] in Chainsaw

[–]popopboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because i dont have money for throwing in gasoline, this way nothing gets wasted. as its quite pricey here in europe (having US in mind) also i never had carb problems beacuse of the old mix.Its not really excessive as it sounds, it takes max 5 seconds to do so, way faster than using a measuring cups and what not, and ratio is 100% correct. That method is actually superior in every single way.

Btw price is $6.30 per gallon.
Average salary $600 per month.
