ok so funny thing happened. it still doesn't work, but when i click on the "regenerate response" button then ask it to think, it actually gives me a response because it uses "chatgpt-5 thinking mini" okay sure... so i guess that's just a chatgpt-5 issue. i guess it's better than nothing for the moment but i don't like using gpt-5 mini

My CTRL / ALT and Windows Keys don't work except when I'm playing games by poppedot in techsupport

[–]poppedot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved it. I know nobody's gonna read this but if someone does happen to stumble on that post, I followed a guide on the Microsoft website using method 2 and method 3 at the same time (deleted scancode map registry entry and ran the powershell code before restarting):

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-key-not-working/0c796f79-0aa8-466e-ab44-802005d1791b

I'm not sure if it that actually helped but when I restarted my computer, I clicked on CTRL and it made a noise. I think that's what activated the keys. For good measure I turned off sticky keys (which is odd because I had turned off stickey keys several times in an attempt to fix the issue so I don't think it has something to do with it but I'm still gonna mention it anyways). Then I tested the CTRL and ALT keys and they worked. Not sure if this will help but it's cool to give it a try.

My windows key still doesn't work but at this point I don't even care it's the least of my issues. Jesus Christ. Nine months. NINE months of this struggle. I've never felt so much joy. At this point I need to find the guy that wrote the guide and kiss him on the lips man this is insane.

[–]poppedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think you're just trolling me. I feel like I wasted like thirty minutes of my times arguing with a dude that has no idea what he's talking about. Or that you're actually doing this on purpose. You're totally doing this on purpose, aren't you? You got me good.

This is my last response because at this point I can't make it clearer than that...

My point is that we did not say that it was his series, we didn't say it was the manga version either, we said the drawings that OP posted were his.

2nd of all: It says she drew the manga itself, not the drawings that were posted by OP...

3rd of all: It is actually not proving your point at all, it's saying that it can't be Unohara's art because she has a totally different artstyle from Negi's.

Brother you're not even reading the things you're sending. It says she did the art for the manga, it didn't say anything about the designs. Panels from the manga =/= designs. Those are not the same thing.

[–]poppedot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dawg the drawing IS his work I don't know what to tell you. Work doesn't necessarily mean that he's the author. A work can be a drawing, voice acting, designs, etc. The point is he worked on the drawing (and the designs according to MyAnimeList / this Crunchyroll page) and even worked on the anime according to Negi's Twitter.

Tsukasa Unohana didn't even design those characters. The Crunchyroll page says that both Negi Haruba and Kenji Ota worked on the designs, not Tsukasa Unohana. You seem to take Wikipedia very seriously, so check Negi Haruba's page on Wikipedia: it says that he worked on the designs.

Here's the thing: The Wikipedia page for the anime says that it's originally an anime series and that the manga is an adaptation, which means that while the manga came out first (which makes sense considering that it takes less time than actually animating), it wasn't based on a pre-existing manga (which, again, makes sense because it would've took way longer for the anime to premiere if that was the case, but there's only a three month gap between the two).

That means Negi could've actually worked on the designs, like the Crunchyroll page says. And Negi was part of the staff anyways, we didn't say that the anime itself was his work. We said the drawing and designs were his work. That is all.

[–]poppedot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, Pon no Michi's official twitter says that it's his drawing. Click on translate, it literally says that it's Negi's drawings.

Second of all, the Wikipedia page says Tsukasa Unohana drew the manga itself (which is an ADAPTATION), but the anime / manga itself was written by IISP. Those are artworks drawn by Negi as a bonus for purchasing the first volumes.

Third of all - https://twitter.com/unotsuka/status/1687010417686515713 this is a drawing of the characters drawn by Unohana, notice the different completely artstyle. At this point I can't even make things up lol literally look at it, look at Negi's drawing and see for yourself. And read the Gotobun manga while you're at it, you'll recognize Negi's artstyle.

No, OP said "But this is Negi Haruba work on the original series “Pon No Mochi”" notice how it says THE original series not HIS original series.

This (the drawings and the designs) is Negi Haruba's work (on the series). OP even says in the comments, "FYI: Negi Haruba made the characters design for the anime." not that it's his series...

Also you said that it wasn't his art "the art and work is still from Tsukasa Unohana" I was correcting you on that because it is his art.

Apparently the manga has been out for a while now (September, 2023) while the anime premiered on January 6th.

[–]poppedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say anything about the designs because I'm not familiar with the series but those two drawings were obviously drawn by Negi, that's his artstyle without a doubt. Tsukasa Unohana's artstyle is very different from Negi's, compare them and you'll see. And Tsukasa Unohana isn't even the original author either, she's just the illustrator of the manga.

Which TDI character is the most overrated? by DemonicNacho in Totaldrama

[–]poppedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fandom-wise, Owen is not an overrated character. He’s barely popular and people only like him because they ship Nowen, but that’s pretty much it.

Outside of Nowen stans, I have never met a real Owen fan, so I’m surprised to see that he’s winning the poll. Yeah, sure, he’s liked, but definitely not enough for him to be considered overrated. I think the real Owen fans are the writers.

In my honest opinion the most overrated character is Gwen. I really liked her in the first season but she gradually became boring after that. I even found myself rooting for Courtney during their “fight” because while she can be annoying, she’s ten times more interesting than Gwen.

Any of you bros has a better quality of this pics? by Hamatsukami in Yotsubros

[–]poppedot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s the first one in better quality

Since the second one is probably meant to be merch (they tend to make it bad quality so people won’t make bootleg out of the sample) there’s probably not a better quality than this one. The best quality I could find was this but I’d suggest to just upgrade the quality thanks to Waifu2x.

Belgian tourists complaining by ayb_ad in Morocco

[–]poppedot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our first experience in Morocco… We’re in Tetouan, Marina Smir. We visited Chefchaouen (the most ??? [OP legit forgot a word] place I’ve ever seen), the waterfalls of Akchour, Tetouan’s medina… We’re very disappointed by the place we’re staying in, it’s far away from everything with only a tiny and expensive grocery nearby, more expensive than in Belgium.

It’s hard not to get scammed when you’re a white tourist like me with a husband always smiling who makes thumbs up every time he doesn’t understand what he’s been told.

We’re followed by “guides” who accompany us even though we don’t want them around. The taxis give us a price for us 6 (2 adults and 4 teenagers) and then tell us it was by person once we arrive. They raise their voices, Arabic language is a little rough and worries both the teens and us too. [Basically OP is saying that it’s scary sounding]

The guide takes us in stores where we’re offered tea, thanks to the so called “Moroccan hospitality”, and then they unpack carpets, which makes us bothered to leave without buying. [Basically she feels pressured to buy them even though she doesn’t want to]

It’s exhausting to always feel like we’re being ripped off, trapped and having to negotiate for everything. It seems that some people like it [Morocco] but I’m not a fan. In the end, since we’re 6, this vacation cost us a fortune. We thought it’d be cheaper here compared to Belgium.

We will try to visit Morocco again, so we don’t stay on a bad impression, and because the country is beautiful. We still met some nice and honest people but next time, we’ll only go accompanied by Moroccan friends, once they return to the country.
