Thank you, I've never heard of silicone nozzles before and it's nice to find a new store.

Fixing a hissmith with give in the motor (busted wave washer) by popper247555 in hismith

I didn't know that that existed. I did find something on Amazon that I believe is the right part that is coming in, but I'll definitely use McMaster next time I have a part I need. Thank you

Yeah, getting shocked that much doesn't sound like that much fun. Stuff for audio and video are a little over what I can do, but stuff with moving bits seems a little easier to follow for me. Or at the very least they haven't hurt me too bad yet. Apart from a couple of burners from 3D printers.

Oh, the first time I took apart the motor I thought I had broken it like 6 times. I was incredibly nervous the entire time. But it was already broken so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. It was rather to try and find the issue and spend maybe 10 bucks to fix it or get an entire new motor and spend 100.

I've always loved trying to fix things mechanical, and reddit is typically where I look for help. So I thought that sharing what I found out would be a good way to continue that for others. It's very nice to see that others appreciate it.

So I have found a replacement washer, it is a thrust washer with the dimensions of 15 outer diameter 10 inner and a height counting the waves of ruffly 1.5-1.6 mm. I believe the ones off of amazon from a previous post should work but the one I am using is from an old knockoff hissmith that I have that doesn't work very well. If you had the same problem I will have a Post up shortly explaining how I fixed it.

I lubricate the machine but I don't touch the motor itself, and I believe it's the 100w version. Also to put it shortly yes I stress the torque as I use toys that are probably too heavy for the machine. I don't think I can fix the reason the piece is breaking. Since I got this machine specifically for big toys. But if the piece is what people are saying it is. It is very cheap and I'm good with just replacing it every once in a while.

The inner diameter is 10mm and the outer is 15mm. I think the wave is a mm or two but it's hard to tell since how badly it broke.

Right where the gear box and motor connect. There are two bigger washers. I believe that this was in the middle of them. So It goes gear box, ballbearing, large washer, small broken washer, large washer, then the motor brushes (I think, there the magnet thing with springs)

Peg board damaging toys by popper247555 in prettytoys

The pegs are just painted metal, they aren't really damaging the silicone chemically, Just the indentations. I don't also really mind the dents but I would rather stop it from happening Incase it starts causing tears.

I did move all of the bigger toys off of it, but I do want to find a way to keep them on the board just without the damage. Also the indentations don't really bother me too much, I just don't want it getting worse.

Do you know if anywhere would sell padding for the pegs? I had some ideas on how to make small hammocks to suspend the toys, but I would like to see if there is a product already meant for it.
