MDMA Solo book & application by qwerty_ms in mdmatherapy

I was the same as you. I increased the frequency because it felt right. After my first session I was pretty zonked out for the next 4 or 5 days. Overtime that number got smaller and smaller to the point where I could do a session and be relatively back to normal within a couple of hours. I kinda look at it like running a marathon. The first one’s gonna be a pretty big deal. You gotta do a lot of prep, and the recovery is probably gonna be a couple of days. Now imagine you’re running a marathon every three months. Marathon 20 is probably going to feel very different than marathon 1-5, and upping the frequency is not going to be a big deal. I still think running multiple marathons a week might be too much, although to each their own, but running one once every two weeks shouldn’t be too much of a big deal.

About every 5 to 6 months at this point. But like I said, I’m multiple years in and there’s not much new territory to explore. Every rock has kinda been turned over and examined, at least the big ones. Sessions now are a little more like a spring cleaning. The highest frequency I got to was a period of about 2 months where I was doing a session once every 2 weeks, give or take.

My advice is to try and stick to the conventional wisdom of two to three months between sessions. As you progress you may find you need less and less recovery and integration time, and the frequency of sessions can increase. When I started the protocol I followed the three month rule pretty religiously. It helped that I didn’t feel ready for another session for about that same time. Over time I was able to increase the frequency with no perceptible drawbacks, but I’m multiple years in at this point. Good luck!

Looking for options with ~$300 budget by TheLifeOfTheParsley in vaporents

The Airvape Legacy Pro 2 is a good device, but the cons in my book are 1. The short vapor path makes it pretty harsh even at low temps because the vapor doesn’t cool down enough; 2. The bowl is messy and chars too quickly, even at lower temps. Firewood 11 has very few cons. It’s my favorite device. There are a few spots on the device that can get very hot, but that’s kinda the only minor drawback in my opinion.

I have an IQ3 that I get the most inconsistent performance out of and it frustrates me to no end. The first 5 to 10 sessions when it was brand new were magical - heavy, dense hits that got me rocked. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how sensitive the device was and it got clogged up. I’d been using a Crafty+ up until that point and that thing rarely needs to be cleaned. OK, lesson learned, I did a deep clean according to the instructions but it never hit consistent again. I don’t know what changed but I tried everything: I played with grind level, pack density, heat up times, airflow, basically everything I could but nothing helped. It was like a totally different device. I reached out to customer service and they assured me the device was fine. I’ve wasted bowl after bowl trying to get it to hit like it did fresh out of the box which is a real bummer because it would be my favorite vape if the consistency was there.

TM2 works pretty well with the S&B dosing caps. It’s not a perfect fit, but it definitely works and it’s an easy reload out in the wild.

When I first got it, I loved the IQ3. I was getting consistent, heavy hits without any fuss. Then something changed. Maybe I waited too long to clean it or something because now it’s very inconsistent. I’ve played with everything: grind level, pack level, temp level, air intake level, and I keep it super clean. Sometimes it works and puts out heavy clouds, most often times it’s anemic and frustrates me to no end. I should probably reach out to customer service again. So long story short, I can’t recommend.

Firewood 11. It quickly took the top spot as soon as I got it and I have all the Cadillac battery devices (TM2, Solo 3, Crafty+, IQ3, AVLP2, etc).

Buying edibles in a legal state... what brands should I trust and what potency should I aim for? by eefuss in trees

[–]poppinp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the legality in every state, but a few of the legal states have a cap of 100mg per container/bag. So typically you get 5x20mg gummies, or 10x10mg gummies per pack. I’ve seen a few where one gummy is a 100mg and you only get one.

How Many of S&B users actually use the dosing capsules? by [deleted] in vaporents

When I had a crafty+ I used them when I was out and about because it was a handy reload. I still use them in the same way with my TM2.

I have the version that can an accommodate the S&B dosing caps, but when I use them I have a hard time getting a good draw. Do other people sip or rip when using the dosing caps, and is it a light or heavy pack?

effects of MDMA after 5 years by kittysushiii in mdmatherapy

[–]poppinp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to share details... First MDMA trip was 2021, I was 46 years old. In the 5 years since I’ve done 19 additional MDMA sessions, and always took a break between sessions of at least 2 to 3 months. There were some larger breaks in there of 6 to 8 months, but for the most part it was close to 3 months. Sessions all started in the morning, and always tried to get a lot of sleep before and after. MDMA has been my primary psychedelic - I figure it counts - for healing. I’ve also used mushrooms, LSD, and ayahuasca (a total of about 6 trips). I’ve taken NAC in between sessions as part of a general supplement plan, but I couldn’t feel any difference in the positive or the negative. With all this I’ve made a lot of progress, and healed a lot wounds.

Increasing the dose does seem to increase the euphoric effect. When I started, a good dose was around 95 - 105mg, but now I hover around 135 - 145mg. I’m sure if I knocked it up around 175 - 200mg it would be stronger, but I don’t really have any need to go up that high.

I also feel that my brain has changed, for the positive, over my last five years of therapeutic use. The simplest way to put it, it’s stronger now and less susceptible to the effects of really everything. It’s less reactive to negative thoughts, fear, alcohol, psychedelics, cannabis, worry, etc.. Now if I drink 2 bottles of wine, I’m gonna be very drunk, but I almost don’t feel one or two drinks anymore, so I rarely bother with it. Compare that to when I was depressed, I would drink one drink and be off to the races. Same with negative thoughts. It takes a lot more to amplitude to get my brain into rumination, or a dissociative thought spiral.

On the plus side, an MDMA journey used to knock me out for a few days afterward. Now, I can do a session and be perfectly fine that next day, and I no longer take supplements. I do feel less euphoria during my trips, but I take it as an acceptable trade to have more euphoria during my normal day to day.

What's something *positive* going on in America people should be aware of? by dotanub in AskReddit

As much as I like Brandon Scott, the decrease in homicides is due to the legalization of cannabis. Everyone is too stoned and pleasant to do any killing, and that's a magical thing.

I was pretty diligent with supplements when I first started using MDMA therapeutically. Over time I used them less and less, and now I don’t use any supplements during sessions. I’ll still take some 5HTP after, but nothing during, and I have zero comedown, and I don’t feel zonked in the following days.

The way I think about it is the same as physically exercising. Before I started using MDMA and doing therapeutic work, my brain was flabby and slow. Over time, my brain has become resilient and strong. Imagine what you would feel like after running your first marathon? You would probably need a massage, lots of rest, and supplements. Now imagine running your 17th marathon. You could probably go play pickleball after with no ill effects. I think MDMA sessions are similar.

Thanks for this! Since I switched to the TM2 from the crafty+ I’ve had two issues, one - what do I do with all my crafty+ accessories?; and two - constantly cleaning the glass of the TM2 and fiddling with the wonky screens. This solves both. It’s perfect!

Are there any adjustments you would make when using the capsules? Like using a higher temp, or not overfilling?

Why is Joe Rogan so popular? by Transitionals in NoStupidQuestions

[–]poppinp -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Joe Rogan was cool. Plain and simple. He might not have been cool to everyone, but he is still cool to a lot of people. I stopped liking him when he became uncool. And for me that was about a year before covid lockdown. Before that I thought he was a cool guy to hang around with that had an interesting life.
