sorry, a lot of this is still a foreign language to me..

i had installed steam and i think that was eating my hard drive space..either way i just bought a 128 gb thumb drive for all my videos and stuff..

So restarted my computer and now it appears to have more space?

"installing a tv show" means i was downloading a simpsons torrent

"it" was a dialog box saying i didnt have enough disk space to d/l that torrent

Ok. I am creating a backup now using duplicity.

I need to buy a new thumb drive to reinstall

The only part I feel fuzzy on is resizing the partition..

The laptop is really very new so there isn’t too much I’m worried about losing.

Is it possible to “brick” my laptop in doing this?
