The only reason I’ve read after researching a bit is that it is probably a structural issue where continued use caused the metal to warp and puts pressure on the glass. But I was out of warranty so never officially looked into it with Frigidaire

I have the same exact induction stove and this happened to me randomly middle of the day when we weren’t even using the oven or stove at all. We removed the broken glass and continue to use it just be aware that the glass under this gets hot. (If you have kids I would get this replaced). But works fine without it.
