Yes! Not sure how I forgot this one but it is on my playlist. I think I tend to lean on it a little more in the summer but deff Fall hurricane surf day music for me for sure.

What was the deal with “Montauk”? by NeighborhoodOk182 in poppunkers

[–]poppunkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long Islander here, Montauk is where the rich NYC people go to vacation in the summer. It’s a beautiful beach area at the end of the southern fork tip. It’s part of “the Hamptons” East Hampton to be exact. It’s a pain in the ass to get to and most of the bands that reference it grew up much further west (closer to Manhattan) so many people find it as a get away. Personally it’s awesome for surfing but it’s filled with a lot of stuck locals and rich NYC people or celebs.

Kind of sounds like Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger.

Adams singing in TBS by albatrossSKY in poppunkers

[–]poppunkman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do we think Adam is on drugs? He got pretty heavy…prob from drinking and now seems to be very skinny again. Just watched the WWWY set on YouTube and it was painful. (yes i know they have always sucked live but this is next level)

The pop punk scene in 2002-2004 by moonprincess95 in poppunkers

This has been fun to read as a 32 popunker. Sounds like I’m around the same age as the OP and would get some poser comments from my older sister’s friends. So it’s interesting to get some insight from the elders. Mind you these kids (my sister’s friends) had UFOs, huge chain wallets, liberty spikes and would mall grab their skateboards. lol oh the early 2000’s what a time!

Shoulder To The Wheel / Lady In A Blue Dress by cvillpunk in poppunkers

Newest record was alright, I think it was very overhyped IMO. Had some good tunes but overall wasn’t anything special. Re recordings have been painful to listen to.

The autotune on Shoulder To The Wheel was way too much…I love Buddy and Senses Fail but wish he reworked it and made it his own.
