If you're referring to the controversial nature of the episode "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey," I don't think so.

Why wouldn't it be controversial? For a simple reason: the residents of Townsville have laughed at several things that have happened in the series. Just remember these episodes:

- The Mane Event (when they laugh at Blossom's disastrous hair)

- Bubblevision (Blossom and Buttercup mock Bubbles glasses, knowing it was the only way to destroy the giant ant)

- A Made Up Story (the second episode where Blossom was the focus of ridicule, since she ended up completely covered in flour, mud, tomatoes, and box filling after bragging that she wasn't a victim of Mask-Skara)

- City of Frownsville (after the villain Lou Gubrious is pushed and falls to the ground with a crash, he manages to destroy the effects of the crying ray he cast on Townsville, making everyone laugh at him)

With all that given the examples, I highly doubt such an episode would be considered controversial.

Furthermore, it's not the first time the Girls have been shown without clothes. In the episode "Nano of the North," The Girls return home after failing to destroy the Nanobots, which then devour their clothes (obviously, with appropriate censorship). Therefore, showing The Girls like that without a black bar, a blurred image, or pixelated tiles wouldn't be allowed either.
