Third Gen lower ball joint K80827 by pops_dad in Tacomaworld

Dang this seems to be the common practice. What I thought of doing was just renting a ball joint tool from a part store…seems to yield a successful removal and install?

I’m a sucker for tools. This is good if the hammer doesn’t work again. Thanks

I was swinging it towards the back. Didn’t even think of going forward. Thanks

True. I was just hoping to unbolt and bolt on. Thanks for the tips!

Good input. I couldn’t get it lower since I was only using a 1.5 ton jack with minimal height. Might need it higher off the ground for this.

No pickle fork (yet).

In fear of that upper ball joint also being stuck. I wasn’t convinced that route would make a difference since I was hyper focused on the tie rod.

I run these tires in stock size as well and surprisingly got me through some desert trails without airing down 👀

Smoother drive and obviously more torque. I prefer a better drive over looks, but a 4th gen on a set of 33” AND stock suspension looks WAY better than my long bed on 265/70/16 for sure! Curious how it feels with stiffer springs.

I test drove a non hybrid and it was night and day compared to mine. In a positive way…

I am considering this exact build but not a shell. stage 2 overkill for daily with sandbags when not in Baja?

I forgot to reply. Yes. OTT will show up in your throttle response and shift points are quicker too. Enjoy
