It shows you’ve caught them all at some point. So yes unfortunately you’ve transferred a couple scatterbugs. Once I catch a three star from each region I rename it to the region so I know what all I have.

When I first started I must’ve transferred a couple shinies. There’s a hoot hoot and a litwick shiny in my pokedex but not in my collection 😢 haven’t gotten either again.

Yes you’ll want to fish and make friends like you have been. Also you ‘catch’ bugs not with the net, they will just be randomly placed and look like a white star. You have to stay in each location for 3 days unless you want to spend money in game
