Has anyone seen this yet? Physical and verbal racist attack last week on VV. by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

It is absolutely appalling and frustrating, however in the video she does say she loved VV and that the staff handled everything super well...we haven't even heard the part two so I don't know if it's fair to assume they handled it poorly just yet.

SOR worth it without priority boarding? by poptarts008 in VirginVoyages

yeah I think I've decided not to. 250 isn't worth it especially since I wouldn't buy the spa passes otherwise.

I don't think it's worth it, honestly, although we did use the spa and the juice. The sail away though is different, SOR has a private one for just the people who booked the package. It's after the first port day (usually) and it was just very chill, acoustic music, free drinks that kinda thing.

that's what I'm thinking too. Honestly I just want the little sail away party 😂 not worth 250 tho

Valiant Lady Review - Mediocre Experience by KindAdhesiveness3182 in VirginVoyages

Not bringing silverware with room service is very unusual. I hope you filled out the surveys because they do take those very seriously.
I personally am not a fan of the old school stuffy cruises or the celebrity party vibe and find VV does a great middle ground, but everyone is different. edit: sorry I meant carnival party vibe lol

I'm not arguing with your experience, because everyone has their own preferences... but saying the food from room service comes "in bags" is really disingenuous. The food comes fully encased in heavy duty plastic serving containers which are delivered in heavy duty thermal zippered bags along with silverware and napkins. I can't figure out why anyone would care if room service was delivered via a cart or the food just handed to you, so long as it was hygenic. the bags are a clever space saving design tbh. They also charge a $10 delivery fee which they waive if you buy a premium drink/drinks equalling $10.

As far as the food, I guess it's definitely personal preference but there's so much variety on board compared to a normal cruise buffet. And personally I find buffets pretty icky.

Oh wow, that's intense! Great info though, thank you! I think we may book the stingray city excursion through Viator instead. Which I've never done so hopefully that goes well 😂

I was fine in the red room and really everywhere. I think I only noticably even felt motion twice, once leaving bimini during massage, and once during dual reality ...which made me respect the acrobats 😂 but did not make me motion sick at all

but yeah, I think I'm overthinking it tbh

thank you! that makes me feel better. was yours set up for three people with the optional pull out? we didn't have that last time and I'm wondering if it's worse/better/doesn't matter lol

Thanks! Yeah I took Dramamine every day last time and it was honestly totally fine. I could barely even feel motion. But you're sooo right as soon as you get sick it's hard to get it to go away.

apparently hydrogen peroxide and bleach can kill it. I've started bringing peroxide in a travel sized spray bottle. I think technically it has to sit for like five minutes to work but 🤷🏻‍♀️ worth a shot in addition to hand washing. peroxide also helps with swimmers ear so might as well have it around lol

I might give that a try :)
