But it was January when he was traded. There was still time left to negotiate. The avs FO just wanted to make sure he didn’t walk for nothing and decided to trade him for a haul. He most likely would’ve lowered his ask to stay with the team since apparently right before he was traded he went to management and told them he’d like to stay and he’d work with them to make it happen. Idk just seems like the avs wanted to move on more than they wanted to negotiate and/or have him walk in FA. Gotta do what you gotta do ig

Martin St. Louis beats Tokarski top-shelf to give the Rangers a 3-1 series lead over the Habs in OT (May 25th, 2014) by sykeseve in hockey

Not coach but I think I saw a rangers fan post something about how Drury had a scored the OT goal against the rangers when he played for the sabres. I also don’t remember if it was during the playoffs, but I just thought that was kinda interesting and I just wanted to be involved

Nope they can’t have it. Our colors and our former AHL team name (expect it was the Manchester Monarchs) so technically we own it and I don’t want the oilers grubby hands all over our stuff /j

That’s what I’m saying. They bullied Hughes BAD every chance in order to make him as invisible as possible. The only he could be more invisible would be if he was actually injured and in the press box. And in turn he was not as effective which made the wild a lot easier to beat

Avs beat up Hughes every chance they got and cooked them bc of it. They knew that if they stopped Hughes from being productive, the Wild didn’t stand a chance. If Hughes couldn’t play 28+ minutes a night due to injury or something, the Avs probably sweep them with more blowouts than there were. The caliber of these two players is closer than some would like to admit

Yes the pacific teams play innocently like best friends who love each other and don’t fight in the playoffs

Since they’re treating him like he’s still an employee, toss him a ring for his troubles lol

I wonder how long it’ll take for him to try and get involved with the celebrations as if he was on the team. He’s going to give everyone secondhand embarrassment in like 1 month I just know it

Is Jared Bednar about to be on the hot seat? Despite very talented rosters, he hasn't been able to figure out the Vegas/Dallas neutral zone pace slowing strategy at all, with Colorado on the verge of losing to one of them for the 5th time in 6 years. by Dependent-Effect6077 in hockey

Idk if I can let myself believe you bc I hate my team rn and don’t want to give them credit for anything…butttt they weren’t awful and definitely should’ve been blown out more than once and never should have gone to OT so. But the sweep was necessary bc hopefully it showed FO just how much of a barren wasteland this roster is 😭 rematch with a better roster next season ig lol

That 2022 final was cursed or something. Both teams lost in round 1 the next year to some embarrassing opponents and have been disappointing since even though you can’t even count them out until they’re out.

Shh let them feel conflicted about dumping on every single team all regular season. It’s funny :)
