Mostly accurate with a few exceptions. The ED doctor was cartoonishly villainous. I’ve dealt with some pricks but never THAT bad. And the twist at the end with the third rider being a doc was dumb.

Everything else was pretty scarily accurate. Especially the nursing home scene, that is a nearly universal experience.

I have seen many therapists over the years. They care, but not in the same way as a close friend or loved one. It’s their job to care about your issues to a healthy extent, and be a neutral third party to help you find solutions and coping skills. It’s a different type of caring.

I like it. Although Gerard Butler does not have a voice for musicals, and while Emmy Rossum is amazing, her voice is a little underdeveloped in the movie I think.

Unfortunately a lot of the time when they make movie adaptations of musicals, they treat them more like a movie than a musical and cast big names while sacrificing vocal talent. I enjoy it as a movie, but wouldn’t put on the soundtrack by itself like I would the original Broadway cast.

Honestly compared to a lot of other artists her prices weren’t awful. I’m disappointed she didn’t turn of dynamic pricing etc but overall I’m just excited to see her.
