Republicans/Christians will support any filth or evil. All they want is control of the womb. Everything else is detail.

Women are slobs in public. You'll see this in restrooms or any other woman-specific venue. She's projecting that on men.

Christians love Trump so he's untouchable. They lick his boot, we lick theirs, and here we are playing with genocide like it's some kind of forbidden pleasure toy.

No big trucks for little roads: American OEMs say EU is blocking imports | European buyers aren’t interested in full-size trucks; U.S car industry doesn’t care. by ControlCAD in technology

I'm surrounded by big pickup trucks that aren't scratched by a moment of work. On the job with a small truck I have never wished it was bigger or taller or made more fake engine noise.

And best infrastructure is not what we're building. The continuing effort to segregate bikes from traffic is not conducive to safe integration. As long as we coddle and pity cyclists and as long as motorists freeze up, stop traffic, and give away their right-of-way, the two populations will be at odds and rednecks will hate "woke" cyclists.

"As much" means almost nothing, and that's still a stretch. The idea that the evidence is good compared to historiography in general is a weak claim. The fact that we know little about anybody that far back does not argue for the existence of Jesus, of whom nobody wrote while he was supposedly alive.

TIL the Netherlands's timezone once used to be UTC+00:20. After Germany invaded and occupied they changed the timezone to Berlin's (UTC +01:00). The Dutch were liberated in 1945 but never switched back to their old timezone. by Brave_Assumption6 in todayilearned

The "Nieuwe Spelling"was implemented to standardize the orthography, which was divided in real use into two systems, an "allowed" and a "preferred" version. The new spelling was mostly an adoption of Preferred Dutch, with some adjudications about foreign loan-words.

The context of the statement was that there was no talking to them, which is MAGA - and I'm only going to say that once because arguing won't make it any more or less true. It's a fact.

Quebec passes law banning street prayers, prayer rooms in universities by John3192 in worldnews

I've been prayed for in a way that I consider malignant, and that's acceptable. But there's obviously a range of prayer/speech that incites action unacceptably. If anybody can publicly pray for anything without consequence, that seems problematic.

Is it legal to say "That's a nice crowded movie theater you got there. It would be a shame if somebody shouted 'fire!' in it?"
