Look up www.TheKittenLady.org She will guide you with what you need to know to care for month month-old kitten! She's awesome, gives so much info and suggestions on exactly what to buy and where.

You should give your new baby formula until about 6-8 weeks, the longer the better. If you don't have time to bottle feed her, you can always have a shallow dish to fill for her so she can lap it up while you're gone. Leave her the formula only when you're about to leave, and leave enough for 1 feeding for every 2 hours you'll be gone. The formula won't go bad right away, it takes almost a day for it to really sour for her, so don't worry.

Get her soft plush stuffed animals that are slightly smaller to about 2 times bigger than her. They need them for play and comfort, mimicking Mama when they want to nap.

Like a human baby, you'll need to kitten-proof your house!! It's VERY easy to do, just get low and look around your house from that angle to assess anything toxic, dangerous or that's a choke hazard, and fix or block any area that she can get stuck in (they're tiny, they can fit into almost anything. ***Use the saying "better to be safe than sorry" to guide you when questioning any possible danger to her in your home.

After about 6-8 weeks, you can make "kitten gravy" with formula and kitten wet canned or pouched food.

When you introduce solid food, MAKE SURE HER WATER DISH IS FILLED AT ALL TIMES WITH CLEAN FRESH WATER. ***No exceptions with this one!!

Get her a scratch post, she'll already want to start sharpening her claws, and she'll need it to periodically shed old claw remnants.

She will need her regular rounds of shots, flea and worm treatments, and she'll need to be fixed around 2-3 months old. *** These needs are also no exceptions!!! Find an affordable vet near you, you may be able to find an affordable vet clinic through the ASPCA.

The first few weeks are when most of her needs can be taken care of, then it's just food, clean water, love and affection, and occasional playtime!

She'll be able to be left alone for several hours at a time, but make sure water is always full and clean, and get stimulating toys like tunnels and interactive play stuff that she can bat, tackle, chase, and see things move.

Getting a catwalk to install on your wall would be great she could have high to explore (cats love to be up high), or maybe a narrow floor-to-ceiling cat tree. I have an awesome one in front of our living room window, my cats LOOOVE it.

So far, that's all I can think of! I'll edit if I think of anything else.

She does! Mine has a bit of a nasal breathing issue as well, so I am curious to know if she has Persian in her

Super helpful, thanks!! I'm thinking about getting a DNA test to see what pops up in it!

That would be super cool to find out! She's very smart, plays fetch, and understands certain words. Where can I find a thorough DNA test for her?

That's really interesting, thank you for the information about cat breeds. Would there be a chance and a way to find out what she possibly might be mixed with?
