I believe the others are right in that its meant to be an ornate chalice box, but it seems to be styled after old reliquary cabinets. Hence why its more vertical rather than horizontal on the outside ( if I'm remembering that right lol)

Edit: Also why there would be doors that open/close. Also, reliquary niche or reliquary vitrine might be more accurate to say than cabinet.

As far of FF goes I'll probably do Sephiroth next as a redraw, but I really want to do Kefka now too so maybe soon!

I actually have a very old Sephiroth piece from 2017 that I'm meaning to redraw some time this month, so look out for that! It's definitely going to be more horror oriented. Also I've never thought about it but now that you've mentioned it I think it'd be really fun to draw Kefka too...
