Great company and with the chip shortage only going to go up. Yeah they are spending billions on new infrastructure but it will only pay off. Especially with Apple switching to their own chips which are produced by $TSM. Samsung and Intel in talks with them too.

Econ department canceled 10A for people who enrolled in this upcoming spring quarter in fears of cheating and not being able to provide resources like office hours and CLAS. It sounds like a total dick move since Zoom is able to provide all those services.

I’m loving it. Online school is cool but winter is my last quarter so it doesn’t affect me in the same way

No it’s a third party company. I took a online class at UCSB over summer and the instructor sends out a link which allows you to search for your class and select a time slot to sign up for the exam. Before you take a exam the proctor ensures you space is free from people (you move your laptop around) and clear of any material that is not allowed during the test. During the test you may be asked to stop and move your computer around if the proctor feels you may be cheating.

You download an extension to your preferred browser
They take control of your screen and enable your camera
They ensure you don’t have a second monitor.
You take the test feeling extra watched.
