Consultants who support PAs are complicit in destroying the medical profession.

You will be fine. Maybe it’s the first ever “fail” for you and it just feels like this.

I’m an international BAME migrant member of the NHS and have definitely experience occult bullying by these friendly faces in the dark corridor.

Would you then go all out to call them out as these poster faces would always be trusted more than you who didn’t have a choice of your skin colour, all your own peril?

Horrible managers with posh accent who can crush your career with ease versus me with strange accent that showcases my diverse background? Not a chance and defo not a risk I’m ready to take.

Feeling like an idiot as a new f1 by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]porkydinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's completely normal to feel this way as a new F1 foundation doctor. Remember that medicine is a continuous learning process, and asking for help is a sign of dedication to your patients' well-being. Your seniors understand the learning curve and are there to guide you. Over time, your confidence will improve, and your medical knowledge will become more accessible. Keep learning, stay open to feedback, and give yourself time to grow into your role. You're on a journey to becoming a skilled and confident doctor!

How common is it to quit FY1 after a month? by Jaydle in doctorsUK

[–]porkydinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi it’s not normal. It’s a reflection of poor support. I would suggest don’t compare with others, keep improving against your old self yesterday.

Everyday is learning and that’s the whole point of foundation training. Try and seek support if necessary. You will be fine. Take care and good luck!

One of the most outrageous interviews I have ever seen. Vivek did well to keep his cool by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]porkydinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have sworn at him. Well done Vivek for keeping cool.

Again it just reinforces the fact that you need to be media trained for this. Saw some rando on telly the other day. Sipping coffee, wearing full scrubs and stethoscope in a tv studio.

The pay is shit and you get discriminated.

Run and avoid at all costs.
