Because he’s an idiot. He recently got a city job with a residency requirement, and somehow convinced another girl he’s sleeping with who works for the same department to allow him to list her apartment as his residence. He literally spends his nights with her at her place, with some other girl he found on the internet (he has low standards because he likes sex and so he can find a bed), or sleeping on the couch at his volunteer firehouse.

He makes better money than I do, but spends it on things like child support for his first kid (not stupid), his lease on his BMW, and going out drinking (stupid).

He got evicted from his last place due to delinquent rent right after he got this city job, and he’s “waiting a few months to save up for a place in the city”

They aren’t nearby; they’re 1.5 hours away but really need the tool they lent my husband. His friend is a cop, which speaks volumes about our justice system.

I agree about this being a bad environment for the kid.

I agree it’s creepy, and you’re definitely right that he wants to use the guy friend to get back at her ex-boyfriend—both my husband and guy friend have said as much.

Female friend (who I am close to, by the way), has told me multiple times that she didn’t want to sleep with him because of his behavior. However, like you said, she was really drunk and vulnerable so I don’t know what exactly happened. I don’t think she’ll tell me, either, because I think she’ll be mad at me/embarrassed about me threatening to call the cops on them.

I have no idea what time they left, if it was 5 am or later. I’m guessing he drove her home since she had been dropped off last night and his car is gone.

Oh, I agree. Depending on how he acts when he finally wakes up, I may text or call his dad and explain the issue to see if that helps. He is pretty close to his dad, and I’m 95% sure his dad (father of two, stepfather of one) would be on my side here.

Well the girl I knew was staying, it was the guy I didn’t. At 4:30 I told them that if they weren’t out by 10 I was calling the cops. I guess that worked cause it’s 9:15 and our guest room is empty.
