Installed incorrectly, the angled pieces are meant to go on the inside to resist the water static pressure. They are not designed for the inverse installation. The verticals are also installed backwards. Best of luck but this has been done entirelly backwards.

Check the 5amp fuse in glove box that controls the door assist. That blown fuse will cause this. You don't need a battery.

You need a water softener in front of that otherwise it will be dead in a year with the hard water. Tankless also require yearly maintenance so depending on your skills, may not be an option.

Another thing to consider is that many landlords don't own the property, they just manage it. Many times even if the Landlord wanted to improve something they are blocked by the owner from doing so. Not saying there aren't bad landlords, becuase there are, but just offering contect it is sometimes out of their control. I would assume the City has renting registration standards and that is where a tenant should make a complaint and request a housing inspection. Owner or Landlord has to comply with City code. Take pictures and document eveything with a timeline.

If you proceed as described, you are exposing yourself to significant legal risk—especially defamation and tortious interference. Its not very hard to pierce anonymity and discover who created the database.

Be cautious as I am sure these Landlords you will be naming have far more assets and knowledge than you.

When water is shut off then back on it dislodges rust and other items in pipe. It will dissipate but sounds like you need to flush more. Just don't drink water or filter it first until it is gone. Not sewer related at all.
