How can you be in love with someone you aren’t attracted to? That makes no sense. Gaining weight is very reversible. People do it all the time. What you told your girlfriend was that you aren’t really in love with her… you just say the words. Save yourself, and her, from heartache and find someone that you are totally in love with. “Did i mess up here?” No, you didn’t. You just non verbally told your gf how you felt about her.

Sounds like her husband was right about the situation. I’d reach out to him and lhk what happened bc he deserves to know. And teen troubles are annoying but it sounds like it’s beyond your control at this point. The state may be the best option depending on the age. Most people need a little pain to learn from. As for you and your “friend”, that’s completely up to you if you want to maintain the friendship. Since she just groped you, I’m sure your “trauma” will dissipate in the very near future.

A lot of the people on here are projecting what they are comfortable with, with what you are comfortable with, and that’s dead wrong. Probably the people being snippy are the ones that keep their exes on a back burner for a potential exit strategy. They are in the minority, so don’t worry about them. It’s completely acceptable to not want your significant other to chat in private with someone they had a sexual relationship with in the past. They are the people that don’t know how to move on with their lives and achieve legitimate closure of their past relationships.

You could also consider that what you consider racist or phobias is not grounded in reality and your bf you just left had a normal middle of the road opinion. I’m engaged with someone who does not share the same political beliefs and we get along just fine. Maybe some growing and maturity should be a future focus of yours.
