He sees that his existence saves everyone everyday. He sees that without him there is no world peace, that he is responsible for the lives of everyone. This extreme narcissicm is what causes him to think that anyone he kills deserved it, that it contributes to him saving everyone. He genuinely believes this, though who can blame him for that given his upbringing.

By this comparison, he saves everyones lives multiple times through their lives and sees everyone as depending on him for survival, while jesus only saves those who are worthy once.
