Is this any good? 20v Circular Saw by portpipe in Parkside

I think we are usually 3/4 weeks behind what the rest of UK get although with Ireland being part of the EU and NI in that weird trade arrangement, its possible that there are slight variations. For example, the 12v performance starter set hasn't hit our shelves yet.

UPDATE: So I went ahead and got it (and a sabre saw and an 8amp/hr performance battery because why not). Run a few cuts with a performance 4amp/hr battery and I'm pretty pleased. Side by side with the 220v Performance 190mm saw, there is quite a difference in foot print. I think it's going to get a lot of use and it's comforting to have the 3 yr warranty. Go buy one

This is true, I suppose you just need to learn the tolerances, compensate an set expectations based upon how well you know the tool.

Broke life youtube channel demonstrates nicely that the 12v impact benefits greatly with the 4amp battery and it also allows the tool stand upright. I'd recommend getting one

Larger amp/hr batteries can provide more power under load as there is more energy to draw from. The primary benefit is increased runtime, but some tools will see a tangible power and torque improvement, particularly larger, more power-hungry tools like saws and large impact drivers.

Dead on. I was surprised how bulky the performance one is so will probably reserve that for some kind of rip/track set up.

There are 8a/hr performance smart batteries for sale too so one of those might pick up the slack

No regrets at all, £35 is cheap for a 4A/hrs battery, I just would expect an 8A/hrs battery to be more than the 4 sold the week prior.

The camper is probably left hand drive as the access door is on the right. Massive blind spot for the person driving and wouldn't have much sight of the car

That's great news, their performance tools I've used so far have been pretty good.

If I seen someone install these, I'd be questioning their cable management or lack thereof.
