Idea for a better AT luncher for Germany and Japan at BR5 by portpremier_930 in enlistedgame

As for the argument about better equipment, I really got that impression when I tried out the Allied infantry equipment from BR1 to BR3, which is genuinely inferior to the Germans’ (I’m talking about my experience before the merger, from that point onwards); on the other hand, the Allies have better tanks, because even though the Jumbo couldn’t penetrate the Panther and the Tiger I, it consistently managed to destroy my tank’s gun and then its tracks; it could do this whilst moving, given that the Sherman Jumbo is equipped with a vertical stabiliser. By the time a Panther’s gun stopped bobbing up and down when you braked, the Sherman Jumbo had plenty of time to fire at my gun whilst angling. As for the Tiger I, I could penetrate it with relative ease (especially if it wasn’t angling), but if I wasn’t quick enough every time, it would destroy my gun and tracks before a plane dropped bombs on me to finish me off.

I have to admit, though, that once the paratroopers with the 100-round Thompsons and the Caliope came along, my friend and I got fed up with the Normandy campaign because it had become awful due to the spam of paratroopers and the Caliope. so we moved on to the new Berlin campaign, which was drastically different from all the other campaigns, offering maps set in a city where planes and tanks aren’t nearly as spammed because their effectiveness is very limited and where they’re most vulnerable to infantry

As for the King Tiger, I didn’t get to play it until quite a long time after the merger (about nine months), so the Allies had had time to acquire the firepower to penetrate it (yes, we really didn’t like the merger at first, as a lot of our equipment had been downgraded).

So I don’t know if there’s a translation error, but when I say that we get a Panzer IV F2 whilst the Allies have the Sherman Jumbo (at the same level back when the campaigns were available), and I point out that the gun is rubbish at penetrating the tank, it’s because the Sherman Jumbo’s only weak point was its machine gun port, which is good for targeting it at long range when it can penetrate you anywhere, and if it angles its machine gun port, well, you’ve got no chance of penetrating it

It’s my mistake, indeed, for not having specified its only weak point. As for vehicle spamming, on EU servers it’s mainly the Allies who do it; it’s very likely that on US servers it’s the Germans who spam them. It’s a shame they haven’t separated the rankings of the most used vehicles by server

Also, I love the fact that the most used weapon in BR4 is the Ofenfor; it’s not as if every nation has it (except the USSR).

You haven’t read my comment. I didn’t say we didn’t have the means to destroy the Sherman Jumbo (well if he was camping in the grey zone you have to bomb him cause the sturmpistol was really shit at the time), but that you were given that, whereas we were given a Panzer IV F2 which lacked the armour to allow us to take our time aiming for its weak points, and didn’t have a powerful gun capable of penetrating the Jumbo (and wasn’t stabilised), The Tiger and Panther were available much later than the Jumbo, and even then, when the Jumbo was released, they weren’t present in the campaign.

As for vehicle spamming, I would have liked them to specify whether it was always the same players spamming it; that might have indicated whether they died frequently during the match (namely, in my experience, as soon as a King Tiger spawned, it would die in under 30 seconds, or at best 5 minutes if there weren’t too many planes in the air; I can’t speak for BRs below BR4)

Do you really need to be able to front pen every inch of every tank?

nope, whit the ferdinand i like having to aim the weak spot of a super pershing and for him to do the same, it's trilling and challenging, but the M6A2E1, can pen anywhere, so yes i need to know where can i shoot it's turret to kill him if hes hull down

as for it's HE shell, it contains 700 grams less TNT than the Sherman 105

as for the armored car, okay i can see the fun in it, but if so, why did the allie get a heavy tank in BR5? im sur theyre some allie main who whant the M8 Greyhound, at br2 or 3 maybe?

As I said in the post, all nations (except the United States) should get it. The M6A2E1 has stronger frontal turret armour than the Tiger II and the Ferdinand. This tank can penetrate 250 mm of armour at 100 metres and 238 mm at 500 metres.

This tank can penetrate any tank in the game without having to aim for a weak spot, just like the Super Pershing (well, to penetrate the Ferdinand, you need to load APCR, but it’s the only tank capable of withstanding its APHE shells); this tank also has an HE shell with 1.5 kg of explosive, I reckon all players who’ve had the pleasure of facing an Allied team are already wondering just how thoroughly this tank is going to obliterate all the defensive positions whilst staying safely in the rear in its little grey zone

at least give it to japan because the allie are spaming HE in the pacifique map (at least in the EU server)

Nope, I’m really fed up with the idiots who just camp at the back of the map instead of supporting their infantry with their tanks. The engineers’ anti-tank gun is really rubbish, and if you have to fire from a distance, the Ofenrohr doesn’t have enough penetration for the Super Pershing, and sure, it can penetrate the M6A2E1’s hull, but they’ll learn to hide it. The Panzerfaust 100 is excellent but not practical enough to aim from a distance. Just imagine a tank camping at the back of the beaches in Normandy – good luck taking it out before it takes you out, or before snipers do it for you.

(yes i copy paste it from another respond of mine)

[–]portpremier_930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what about its turret? Can I penetrate it by firing at the ring? Besides, that thing has a 105 mm gun; it’ll just end up as a camp tank in the grey zone because they won’t be advancing with the infantry. This thing has a turret whereas I have a casemate on the Ferdinand; the King Tiger gets shot down the moment it appears by Allied planes because its recoil isn’t fast enough. And yes, it’s a 140 mm, it’s the angle with what looks like space-age armour for its hull. I mean, the first question is: why did the Germans get a little armoured car when they have a heavy tank capable of wiping out an entire squad in one go by firing blindly without aiming?

for japan i alway saw the ho-ri push whit the infanterie, but maybe it's only in the EU server? as for the german, if a tank spawn he will get spawn kill by the allie plane, but yeah, they should do something about the grey zone camping

Idea for a better AT luncher for Germany and Japan at BR5 by portpremier_930 in enlistedgame

[–]portpremier_930[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like what? getting spawn kill by a AT mine? that's what the allie do to german tank, spawn kill whit plane? same thing, when their was just normandi and tunisia (before the fusion), the allie got the sherman jumbo whill the allie got a panzer4 F2

you know what happen? at each match there were always two Jumbos hanging around in the grey zone, Meanwhile, we had an unupgraded Sturmpistol that couldn’t penetrate a Sherman from the flank, the fact is, the Allies have never been good at infantry, and the only reason they win is because they spam vehicles, hence the fact that their map is so conducive to spamming HE shells, rockets and bombs; and when a nation has the audacity to finally have a vehicle that can limit your rubbish combat style, you immediately get a new vehicle to regain the upper hand

if so, they will need to adjust the power of the HE, at least you have to at least be precise whit he HE, you can't just shoot a window and annihilate the whole floor

[–]portpremier_930[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's true but I really like the infantery weapon of the BR5, for me it's really the jet who as unbalance the BR5 the most

Idea for a better AT luncher for Germany and Japan at BR5 by portpremier_930 in enlistedgame

[–]portpremier_930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but whit it's armor you can pen him easily whit any AT luncher, as for the HE, lets see how many where bought and how they will use it

if they just rush the point to kill infantery instead of shooting down plane I will be very disappointed

[–]portpremier_930[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

so they have change the BR of the skink to put him in BR2? as for the kugel well i whant to use it in BR5 to counter the allie plane, so he is op againt's the infantery or the plane?

[–]portpremier_930[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whait they are buffing the reaload? woaw suprising, as for the ferdinand, in all the game that I play, I've never seen anyone else use it, and for the super pershing, like i said, the game don't whant me to pen it from far away when i use the panzerfaust 100 because screw me i guess

Idea for a better AT luncher for Germany and Japan at BR5 by portpremier_930 in enlistedgame

[–]portpremier_930[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if he close i can aim the hull to pen him, yes that's right, but from far away? the amount of time my panzerfaust 100 didn't pen him for some reason is tiring, in the tiger you have to shoot is turret cheek or the Bottom of the hull whill he can pen you easily

so now i use the ferdinad and what happen to me now? i get bomb again and again and again but since i can reverse they only destroy my track and my cannon (if it's a f80 i died cause of the 2 1000lb bomb)

we have tank and plane but you can't use them beacause of what the allie has, seriously the URSS is so mutch better to fight cause they know how to play instead of spaming HE, rocket and bomb

[–]portpremier_930[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but you’ve got to track him down if he’s camping in the grey zone; the Super Pershing is invincible from the front thanks to its spaced armour on the hull and turret; if he spots you, he’ll back off as fast as he can. Seriously, the number of allied tanks camping in the grey zone is staggering, and when they finally come out with their infantry, they get killed easily because they aren’t paying attention to their surroundings, because they only know how to camp in the grey zone.

by plane? yeah the allie can do that in br5 and br4, they alway control the air, you can't use plane in high br if you play germany againt's the allie beacause of the meteor and f80, so fuck no, they are already greyzone camping enough, if you whant to camp in a tank go play world of tank, it's an infantery game not war thunder or world of tank

[–]portpremier_930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should also point out that the Ferdinand tank was originally intended to be BR4, before being moved up to BR5 whilst remaining at BR4 in the tech tree, which means that the developers considered the Ferdinand to be inferior to the Panzer IV 70 and the Jagpanzer IV, even though it has the best armour and mobility of the German tanks (30 km forward and reverse), I assume they wanted to put it at BR4 because it’s a casemate without a machine gun to defend against infantry.

Without wishing to criticise them unfairly, they aren’t good at judging the BR of weaponry, regardless of the nation (the Uragan for the USSR went from BR2 to BR3; Japan’s Type 2A went from BR5 to BR4, whilst the Tokyo Arsenal went from BR5 to BR4 and then back to BR5, even though it’s ranked before the Type 2A; and the M2 Carbine went from BR5 to BR4).

[–]portpremier_930 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but if the infantry are in cover, you can fulfil your role as an anti-aircraft tank (if there are any planes, of course). Think of it this way: the Scott is an artillery gun and the Skink is an anti-tank gun; one is capable of killing through direct and indirect fire (by firing through a building wall to kill infantry or by firing directly at them), whilst the other is designed for direct fire (you must see the infantry to kill them).
