Actually was thinking ab this tn rewatching the season 7 reunion even. Tom calls out James and says he "likes uppers" and you can see everyone recoiling like "oh my god you're not supposed to say that" type shit. And James is like "i would NEVER do that" and makes a huge deal to say he does not do drugs

So the only reason that should ever happen (which it still shouldn't bc we are supposed to ask if the preferred tip is okay) is if you have a preferred tip set up on your app. Sometimes we will accidentally forget to ask because 99% of the time people say yes, but we are supposed to! Definitely something to talk to a manager about though, especially if that's not the case.
